Polish "hot jello" [kisiel] forgive the title

My ex-wife is polish and she used to make this packaged powder stuff, you add a bit of water and heat it up. it was really thick and warm, and had different flavors like lemon, strawberry...etc. She called it goo for me, and i never got the polish name for it. its not really a "food" per say. i hope this is enough information, if you need more info, let me know.

It's jelly in powdered form.

"Jelly" being the British English meaning.

Yup Jelly it certainly sounds like or jello, or like G says galaretka. Its fabulous. Might have to go and get some tomorrow now...raspberry...

I'd go for the 'kisiel' option. Galaretka is usually served cold, while 'kisiel' is served warm and indeed has got this very thick consistency, but not as firm as a jello, it's liquid

btw the disctionaries call it 'fruit jelly'

PD, try the warm version called kisiel some day. It's goo good.
