Polish interracial dating

Is it true that lot of polish people are attracted to people of other races, especially black american? I am black american myself. I heard this because black american people are seen as exotic because we arent seen that much in Poland, just on TV when they watch MTV or something. So it makes us attractive when we are seen in person because its not soemthing you see everyday in parts of Poland. Some of us atleast, there are ugly people of all races and nationalities. The first girl I fell in love with is polish and we hit it off just great. But does this myth have any truth? Im not trying to get anything started, I was just curious and wanted to hear some other opinions.

Well, I think Poles in general like "black music" (rap, rnb) and many of them like black actors so there must be something to it. I'm writing from a guy's point of view though - maybe some Polish girl will comment if she like dating guys of other races..

I know some girls in PL that wouldn't ever date a black guy because many things that blacks are associated with is negative like gangsta rap, gang movies...or most things having to do with crime/violence portrayed by the media.

But there are those out there that aren't led by the media or believe propaganda who accept people for who they are and are very curious about interracial dating. I've seen a few interracial couples while staying in PL. I even saw more of a diverse crowd of people this year in Poznan. I was surprised.

I think it's more popular for American/British girls to date black men.

It would be tough for a Polish girl to be with an African-American dude, because of the pressure she would get from family and friends. It would be fine to have you as a friend, but for a life-long commitment - it might not be so easy. Especially if this was in Poland. People would stare at you guys walking down the street and she would feel uneasy. In America it's no problem. But not everywhere either. I live in a small town in America and even here the blacks are never seen. And when people do see one, everybody stares at them. I can only imagine him walking with a white girl.
But it all depends on the girl, if it doesn't bother her then you've got it made.

Most, maybe like 80% of my polish guy friends were in love with black girls. They would ask me to get them some hook ups lol. And when I would be around the polish girls, I felt like I was Usher or something. Thats what made me ask this question. Interracial dating is very commom here in the US. I see it everyday. If you're in a small country ass town, you might get a few looks, but in the cities, its nothing. And aren't interracial babies just the most beautiful babies ever? And they grow to be some very beautiful people. Heres a few examples, Mariah Carey, Alicia Keys, Venessa Williams, Halle Berry, The Rock, Vin Diesel, and many more. All of these people are drooled over.

Nope, it was here in USA. So that probably wouldnt happen in Poland? Maybe they didnt seem to care here is USA because its so common.

I'm sure you'd find someone that's curious there. There are tons of hip hop clubs and the younger women like it a lot. Underground and mainstream clubs. If I were you, I'd go Just be sure to go with someone that knows their way around. Most of PL accepts blacks..especially where there are universities such as Poznan.

Yes, I totally agree, that interracial babies are very beautiful. I have met some very intelligent, nice black guys. I'm sure if a Polish girl fell in love with you, she wouldn't mind the stares she gets. She understands that some older people have never seen a black person and she can teach them a thing or two, that we are all human beings and the color of the skin does not matter.
I have a relative, who's daughter married a chinese guy. The parents being Polish were totaly against it. But she didn't care. She loved the guy and is very happy with him. They now have two daughters and yes, they are very cute.

Well I already know that when I get there, I will get looks. Not hateful looks, just curious looks. Im just ready to see how she will act when we are in public. Here in USA, it was nothing. She said her family and friends there are ready to meet me. She said she has pictures of me in her room, speaks of me a lot. I do the same things here. That seems like a good sign. But for now we are just friends. If all continues to go well. I will be going there in a few months. Interracial dating is growing so fast. 1 or 2 generations up, it will be everywhere because racism is dying off every generation. I dont think it will totally go away, but it is dying off. I am not so sure. In France, England, Germany, Holland, Belgium or Denmark children of arab and african immigrants born in Europe still doesn't want to be part of new society. They hate white europans and europeans doesn't want them in their countries. Western Europe has a big problem with immigrants and rasist movements are going strong. Nationalism in Europe has it's renaissance. Have you heard about incidents in Russia? Gangs of skins killing in very brutal way dark skin foreiners: African students, illigal immigrants, workers from post soviet asian republics. In Central European countries such as Czech republic, Hungary, Poland, Slovakia racism is not so common because scale of immigration to this pleaces is much, much smaller.

Damn thats messed up. Well we all know that racism is taught. Nobody is born with it. I just pray that the ones who are teaching it will be done away with and that racism can start to die off in those countries you mentioned the way it is in the US.

I think it's being more acceptable now than it was 50 years ago, when they had seperate schools for the blacks and the whites.
I think the coolest thing is seeing a black guy speak polish. If some one gives you a curious look, then just smile at them and see their reaction.

You are right. I don't think polish in general are racist in aggresive way it is more curiosity.

My mum knew couple : he is vet from africa his wife is polish. She comes from small town near Krakow. I think they married about 10 years ago. When he first visited her it was a little shock in this town.But I think their love, commitment was so strong that they married ,have 2 children. He works as a vet, speaks good polish. He likes animals and is good vet so he has ever so many customers. People like him, respect...

See I love to see things like that. Interracial couples who have successful marriages or realtionships. The ones who dont give a damn about what others think. Whether they are black/white, white/asian, black/asian, black/spanish, any mix. I bet that couple has some great looking kids too dont they. Whether I end up marrying this girl one day or not, Im pretty sure I will end up marrying a girl from another country. Foreign girls are my biggest weakness.

When I was 8 years old I lived in Warsaw and a black family moved into our apartment complex from America. There were two kids my age and they were the hit of the play-ground and everbody thought they were so cool!
Kid's don't look at it like adults. To them, a kid is a kid, they see a diff. color skin and think it's cool and accept it. It doesn't bother them at all.

Well, this is not true. I was married to a total opposite. At first I thought it was cool that he was so different than me. Boy was I ever wrong!!!

What were the differences? I think the main reason that opposites dont stay together is that one or both of them are not willing to learn about the others differences. That makes things fun. If you are just the same as your significant other, thats just boring.

He liked hunting, fishing, smoking, excessive drinking, football, cheating. So what's the point if I don't like shooting at animals, smoking, sitting in a smokey, crowded bar etc. Sure, I tried fishing and shared his interests but that gets boring after a while. If you don't enjoy it, then it's torture.
On the other hand, a person like you, will do things together that you both enjoy and you never will be bored with each over.

Wow. Now I dont blame you for getting away from him. It sounds like he put up a front for a long time, and then once you two got married, he showed you that other side. Cheating is just uncalled for. He better look long and hard if he wants to find a girl thats gonna like all of that stuff he likes. Deep south USA, he will find plenty of girls who like all that shit. If I had a habit that my girl didnt like, I would try my best to drop it. Especially if its a bad habit. I hope she would do the same for me. Did he ever try anything you liked? Thats the fun part.
