I personally dont think interracial relationships work - and I dont think it's fair on the children - they're neither accepted by one site or the other.
Well u r wrong. Because my parents relationship work and I feel proud to be a part of both cultures (or even three if u include growing up in the states). But I will always feel torn between the two as to me not one is better then other but both are a part of me... and thats the way it will always be...

btw, indianpolishgurl, just wondering, why did'nt ur father get an arranged marriage? i have always thought that indians in general consider western culture or values to be wrong and strive to resist them. was his family ok with him marrying a white girl?
Well... my dads family were not so traditional... they keep some particular values at home and stuff like that but my dad met my mom while studying in the states. My dads family were a bit strange actually... but not in particular to my mom... but they were against the idea of him being with a woman who was american, british, australian, irish, etc... but not with a woman from europe (Polish, or even it had been German, Italian, Spanish, Russian, etc)...
... no arranged marriages from my grandparents to force on their kids i think thats why my dad also didnt want to enforce this type of value on us... but still grew up in a home with many different traditional values of both indian and polish culture....
