I wonder why a girl/boy will find shame to walk down the street with a human of different color. Because people will stare?... Will they really stare?... I wonder.

Ponder my friends... I have never seen an ashamed couple of dogs (just because one is black and the other is white)... they live it with ease!

If couple like: White+White or Black+Black ... never face any social, emotional or worse problems, then I completely agree, that interracial relationships should be confined till 'good friendships' only. And if it's otherwise, then let people live their way, and get 'married' if they want to!

Perhaps I would stare at such a couple too (honestly)... We dont see something so special in today's world everyday... yep... i think i would stare... cuz it is worth a look! and hmm...imagine a baby with them.....I think I would use my camera aswell!

That has to be the dumbest statement on this site so far, all these biracial people are good looking because their parents were good looking........there are good looking people of all races so when they have a mixed child the resulting offspring will be good looking as well.........

I dont mind two 'so-called' ugly people ('people' = human beings ) from different racial/traditional backgrounds, with their baby.

Now, if you look at their faces/body only, individually, they might look undesirable for some (I can't understand how a person can be labelled ugly though...but anyways)... but if you see them together (e.g in a park), happy with themselves and caring their child, fine in their small word... then there cannot be something more beautiful to see (or as some concerned pessimists would suggest 'stare'), and smile about, in our busy-daily-monotonous motion.

Wow all these dudes got Polish girl fever. Even though I prefer white girls, maybe I should start dating outside my race just to return the favor. Why do I always get the impression white girls are the most sought after?



Notice all of these people don't look white either. Not one of them has light hair or eyes. Wow what a genetic coincidence!

Everybody here is sooo liberal about this subject. I am not sure that everybody in the US is so open to interacial relationships. Time magazine recently put out an article called "The Meaning of White." In it they cited a survey where "a stunning proportion of whites--77%--say their race has a distinct culture that should be preserved."

There is something going on with Polish people and their attraction to other races. White men and Women (and an asian girl) here in the US have mentioned that to me. They usually give me a look of surprise and say this: "Don't your Polish peeps know that thats not the right thing to do?"

I usually get embarrassed when this happens. I have no answer. Its embarrassing that my own once proud people are so willing to throw away their own national identity.

Also, just because parents and people don't approve of interracial marriages does not make them rascist. We actually just talked about this at Christmas dinner. Some Polish people feel bad that 1000 years of our culture and national identity is being diluted. Do Poles even think about there own national identity anymore or are they too eager for all things western?

We protected our national identity from the Nazis, but are we now giving it up to interacial marriages and McDonalds?

I think Polish people who are well educated about their culture tend to want to preserve it and thus stay away from serious relationships with other races.

Where as people who are less educated and look down upon their own culture, tend to not not even think about there own cultural preservation. Most of the young Poles, right now, because of the current goverment, likely look down upon their own culture. They want to experience something else because what they have is not good enough for them. My experience is that Polish emmigrants of 10 years ago stick to whites. Whereas, the immigrants now tend to jump on the first non-white person they see.

I also notice Poles going the extra mile to be welcoming to all things foreign. Even if it means diluting and destroying there own national identity and culture. They see Hiedi Klum and Seal and they think that "oh thats got to be great, and thats what we should strive for." We need to be a multiethinic and muti racial society like the US and Western Europe. Get a life, Poland does not need to be anything. Infact, maybe we should strive to preserve what is Poland and has been Poland for the last 1000 years. People in Western Europe are starting to get very upset about the number of immigrants in their countries. I submit that situations where Swedes feel outnumbered in there own country cause rascisim.

Poles have tried to preserve their identity for a 1000 years. The german's have tried to exterminate the slavs in WWII. Some people maye feel a duty to preserve this slavic identity and culture. I know I do. That might be the reason that some Polish parents or young poles look down upon interracial marriages.

I hate rascism and intolerance, but please don't call people who want to preserve their own culture "old" and "rascist."

Many of these "mixed" children have blue or grey eyes, sometimes straight or light hair.

Very, very, unlikely unless the other partner had blue-green eyes somewhere in his/her family.

Sometimes genetics throws out a wild card, but it very rarely happens.

Light-straight hair is more likely, but Blonde is pretty much impossible unless somehow genetics throws out a wild card.

Polish people are generally warm, tolerant and wise. They know how it is to be subjected to racism. They know how it is to be segretated... they know how to learn good things and update their charectar, with regards to time...

EXTREMELY FASCINATING. I always felt endeared to the Polish people who were looked down upon by the Germans and the Russians in their respective invasions during WW2. The Germans thought they were the Master Race and considered themselves superior to Slavs (Russians and Poles). The Russians considered themselves superior to Poles. Where does this chain of hate lead to?

Science tells us that homo sapiens came from Africa and our earliest apelike ancestors are about 5-7 millions years old. So all the way back we're just a bunch of apes. The first humans to leave Africa were black probably. So we all got black in us even the "Master Teutonic Race".

I think different ethinicity, different eye or skin colour, shouldn't be a problem as well. The culture, customs and heritage is the most important.

I didn't teach her this.It was her own initiative statement.

I think she being 4 y.o now also has a wider multicultural and multilingual perspective than many older folks including antropologists and extereme-nationalists.

I would extend the right to preserve culture to any people. The Gypsses included. I don't have a problem with any cultures and I don't think white culture or the white race is superior.

I am not understanding your point about the evolution of the species? We are all the same species, but have different charachteristics. You need to read something about genetics. It is a paradox, but our different charactheristics have been created because for years we have been isolated and forced to breed amongts people with similar charachteristics. If we all just interbreed, then those special charachteristics will dissappear. So your diatribe about enjoying the corocopia of the race is short sighted.

I am not looking down on any culture. I am not hating on other races. I am hating on the ignorant Poles who so quickly throw their identity and culture away in order to fit in with the west.

I read that article, those half black Poles are more Polish then you and I becuase they went back to Poland to fight and protect its culture! I am proud of them.

But lets face it Poland is a polish, white, and catholic country. Our people have certain national identity. I can spot a Polak from a mile away. Isn't at least something of the national identity worth preserving? Crude example, but lets say 40 million green martians move to Poland tommorrow and start speaking Polish and drinking Polish beer. Is Poland still Polish?

Poland is not a melting pot like America. I have lived in the US for 23 years and I still have not placed my finger on what exactly american culture is. I ask American's what american food is and they aren't really sure. Do you want Poland to become like that?

Your attitude has been cultivated by corporations and big business. Another crude example, but this is one I have read about. For christ's sake why would Mcdonalds want you to preserve the Polish kitchen. If you do that, you might not go to Mcdonald as much.

This happens all the time. Small mom and pop coffee shops in France being pushed out of business by starbucks. They were part of frenc culture.

On to how this applies to preservation of the Polish identity and culture:

In 2050 when the Polish poulation falls to 32 Million and 30% of Poles will be over the age of 65, big business will invite in millions of immigrants who will have an irreversible impact on our national identity and culture. See the situation in Sweden and England! One in ten swedes are now muslim and there are more registeried muslims in London than registedered people for the Church of England. PEOPLE ARE VERY UPSET ABOUT THIS!!!

Yes my narrow minded friend. The business people like to keep you dumb and ignorant becuase your resistance to change would prevent them from making big money. People all accross europe think the flow of immigrations is too much. People in Europe are overwhelmingly against Turkey joining the EU. The people wonder why the goverments continue to negotiate with Turkey and why they continue to let so many immigrnats in. MONEY IS TO BE MADE FROM CHEAP LABOR!!!

Yes, big business will let Poland be partitioned just like the rich nobles did 200 years ago. And you my friend will stand by and watch. At least I am trying to make a difference by remininding Poles that they should not be so quick to intermarry and devalue their own culture!!! And if you do intermarry, then you must educate your children. Whether the kid is half black, english, or mongolian. Too many times Polish parents fail to instill these values in their kids. Education is most important!!!

Finally, as I said before, other people in the States and I have noticed a trend in the new young Poles coming here to the States. As soon as they get off the plane they jump on the first non-white peron they see. (not all of course, but many) I submit that they are not neutral about the question of race. They are seeking something else because they are disapointed with Poland and its goverment. Their negative attitude towards Poland, their choice to stay in the US, or their choice to marry foereigner's will dilute the polish national identity and culture. I am simply suggesting that Polish people consider their national identity and culture before they make such decisions. Moving to America and marrying a black girl in Louisiana may seem a good idea when you are in love. But what about the kids? Would that black girl ever consider moving back to Poland? Will she even give two shits about raising your kids with a Polish background. If so, great carry on... If not, then you should think twice, three times, and four times.

The trend I am noticing is that Poles think their own culture is crap and any other experience must be so much better. My Spaniard and Fench friends come to america and hang out at european clubs, wear european clothes, and always tell them how great their countries are. As I said, the young polish come here and some say that Poland is drab and talk how the Poles have screwed everything up back there. They jump on the first non-white, wear baggy jeans, and go to hip hop clubs just cause it is new and different. Pathetic! Have at least some pride, be more european.

Keep running towards that corporate beacon of light and culture which is the west. Keep dashing for the cool MTV multi-racial-multi-ethnic culture. When you get there, you will find a KFC on every corner, a 50% divorce rate, and a group of people who are wondering what their national identity and culture is.

Thats right Gregorz, says a guys from America who moved here whne he was 3, speaks fluent Polish and is strogly considering moving back to Poland to apply his profession. I love Poland and anyone who loves Poland as well.
