I have been living in Warsaw all my life (with short breaks for travelling ).My whole family is from Warsaw from at least 4 generations back.
I know this city and the people here.
Please, come here and visit or even stay, if you want and do not worry about some posts on here.
Before you are visiting Poland, check all immigration rules for American citizens.
And yes, Latino and Spanish culture is a big trend here now, so u may come in the right time.
All my female friends go to salsa or flamenco classes, instead of fitness or swimming pool.

Maati...good points, people in Poland are naturally conservative...new ways of doing things, interacting with other peoples etc have yet to become common place, Polish people will have to open their minds to other concepts the way the EU ( UK, Ireland, Denmark ) have opened their own borders for them to come and work.

I live in a big Indian community, lots of Sikh people and they tend to stick together more than anyone I know when it comes to marriage and so on........but for the most part they are very pleasant people, obviously there are some idiots, but they are hard working and very motivated...........they haven't hurt me in any way but they tend to stick to their own people, so is it wrong for what they are doing???..........the fact that they wouldnt be thrilled about a black or white person marrying their so or daughter doesnt make them a bad person, or evil or something.........maybe their culture has lots to do with ethnic pride and that they are all from the same region..........it doesnt mean they dont do other good things like donate blood and charity for the entire community........

Frank, I agree your idea. But, as far as I feel (or have experienced), older Polish people seem more conservative than the younger generation. It always occurs to me that the younger generation is more inclined to people from other communities. My opinion.

Finally... this forum tells alot about Poland (I think). We do have people like Matek and Guest3... and also people like Maati and Marek and Frank... but, the vast Polish Majority is with people who were never racist...from anytime in history.

It is my sincere belief that Polish people have the most beautiful heart in Europe. And this heart has never been defeated...and never will be.

I have answered all the questions started. There is no use talking to a racist. Calling an entire race of people inferior because they have different phenotypes and genotypes is absurd.
