Polish and Irish should love each other

Irish (and British) - the best people I've ever met. The most recent tragic deaths of two Poles in Dublin should not create hate between Poles and Irish. Let's love and respect each other, guys. Love and peace!

I agree, particularly in respect of the Irish. Poles should remember the assistance the Irish gave to the Poles in their insurrections

Poles hold no hatred at the Irish for what has happened...... The statements released by the families clearly reflect this. Also the responce from the Irish community has been heartwarming. It clearly shows the beauty of Irish Society.

However I hope this is not forgotten and highlights the racism that Poles encounter in the UK....

Ireland and Poland are kindred spirits. They are very much the same. Poles and Irishmen have been through nearly the same struggles and burdens, there should be no hatred, only respect and admiration.

This is a good thread, there are similarities here between the 2 countries. Isolated incidents of stabbing cannot be allowed to jeopardise cordial relations

I'm Irish and my boyfriend is Polish, and we're very happy together :) We have lots of differences (eg when it comes to cooking!!) but we learn a lot from each other.. I have a good few Polish friends, and when we get together to party - the Poles and the Irish, those have been some of my best night's out!!! In my experience i think the Poles and the Irish are a great mix!! And now in my home we all eat Polish food sometimes!!

I'm glad the Poles love the Irish - I'm 1/2 Polish, 1/4 Scottish, 1/4 Irish - perhaps that explains my fiery nature, and the obsession for cooking enough food for the whole street!
