Czesc, Pani Karimo!

Czy jestes Polka? Ale teraz nie mieszkasz w Polsce, nie prawda?
Ja urodzilem sie tu w Nowym Jorku (zreszta w Ameryce!!) przeciwko w Starym Jorku w Anglii. Wiele ludzie pytali do mnie, "No, skad Pan jest?" kiedy bylem przed prawie dzesiecoma latami w Szczecinie, aby odwiedzic przyjaciele.
Mówie po niemiecku. Ty tez?

Poslam e-mail do Forum, czy to w porzadku?

Pytanie gramatyczne: "WielE ludzie pytalI.." albo "WielU ludzi pytalO..."? Mam klopoty z rodzajem sród mieskiami/niemieskami ludzmi.

Pozdarwiam a wesolych swiat Swieta Wielkanoc!

Karima,

Ach, dziekuje! Znam. Po niemiecku nazywalo sie "Allenstein". Wszystkie miasta w Polsce mieli niemieckie nazwiska, n. pr. "Bytom"= Beuten, "Bydgoszcz" = Bromberg itd.

Pozdrawiam!

Czesc, Grzegorz!

Nie zrozumiem, co pisales. "So you caouldn't be impressed..." nie ma sensu. Uprzejmie poprosze, nastepnego razu pisac po polsku.

Wiem, ze chcesz cwiczic twoje znajomosci jezyka angelskiego, jak ja chce sie starac, wiecej uczyc sie jezyka polskiego.

Pozdrawiam

I can see there's a little chat in Eng-Polish language... ;)
I'm Polish but really want to learn English, even a bit.
Dont know whether my English is good at the moment, cause every word I know I learnt by myself - I'm proud of what I've done but still dont know whether any Englishman is able to understand me .. ;)
Please tell me whether there are any mistakes in what I wrote above, or not :)

I offer my help in learning Polish ;)

Greets,
Chris.

Chris11,

Your English is fine. Don't worry about it. Just keep posting and reading what others have to say.
There is an English Language Thread somewhere on the forum.

I don't like to correct posts when there is no real need, but....... Regards would work better than Greets.

Why not become a full member and keep posting.

yeah, that's not bad idea to join this Forum and keep posting :)
If there's someone who want to work charitably - let's check my posts in case of looking for any mistakes :) I'm young and think it's best time to learn English at the moment - later there may not be enough free time to do so ;)

I'm using English since ... hmm... 1999 ?
I've never been talking through an email and things like that in English - only while playing multiplayer games, so that the English used there wasn't so perfect, because 99% of players weren't English but just trying to communicate ;)

You live in Wroclaw, as I can see ;)
So do I.. :)
Where exactly ?

*Better to say I have been speaking or talking in English .......

I've never written English in an email. Only while (or whilst) playing multiplayer games and that is why the English grammar used wasn't so perfect. 99% of the players weren't English they were just trying to communicate ;)

I've been using English, then since '99... :)

Wroclaw- yes, I've bought an "English File" one - started with... hmmm - pre-intermediate ?
Learning from upper-intermediate one recently but I've almost finished it, so looking for a new, harder one :)
I like this book, like reading the articles...
I know neither the best book ever, nor that Forum, nor penfriend is better than just living in an English-speaking (is that right?) country but trying to learn English before going to United States to my mom :)

PS: I live near the Grabiszynski cemetery, so Fabryczna district (?).
