is Polish language necessary in all work fields

I would like to know if polish language is necessary if i want to work as teacher or any other related work. i speak and write french and english well. any good advice or information will be welcome.

no is not I work here and I dont speak Polish but finding a job is not easy otherwise you want to teach that is another story

I would love to find a job in Poland, especially in Wrocław, but I'm afraid I need to know Polish before I can find one. I'm studying very hard and I have a year before I'm out of the military and could look for a job there. I hope it's enough time to get ready.

What is your native language?
You can teach in many private language schools in Wroclaw. They don't pay bad.
You can find schools' web sites on Google. Find phone number and call them. Almost everybody speaks foreign language there. I mean ins school. You will not be first native teacher there. So you can negotiate and sign contract before you go there.
It will be hard to find other job without knowing Polish language or without really good professional education.
Remember that if you are not EU citizen you have to have Polish visa and permission for work. Talk to school officials if they want to hire you.

English is my native language, and I've thought a lot about teaching English, but I'm afraid I would have to be more proficient in Polish for that as well. I am also aware about needing a work visa, I am actually more interested in a temporary residency permit as that allows for work and is longer, I think for 2 years. I am sure I will one day marry my girlfriend and that will make things easier for me as well to live and work in Poland. I am a computer networking technician by trade, and I have lots of cooking experience too but really I would be willing to do just about anything starting out, my biggest goal is just to be able to live there.

Hell no... so many went to UK/Ireland and now they will have to hire Chinese workers to build our football stadiums for Euro 2012 :) Maybe now it's not a big deal yet, but soon when even more of them will leave Poland.... :>

not true.
The less you know polish the better for you.
You will have advanced classes with people who speak English fluently, but they just want to practice in conversation.
You don't have to sit with them in class, you can go anywhere. just force them to speak English.




less paid and you have to know Polish terminology.



Poland is not US, where everybody goes eat outside.
You will even not find any restaurant where they need to hire somebody.



So start with that. :)
Once you are married you will get temporary permit so you can work everywhere in Poland.
Without that it will be hard to do anything.
As I said. Talk to somebody at school how to get work permit.
Secretary speaks English for sure so you can call them directly.
