You are right but I hope it will change in a few years. Maybe we need more magazines with men fashion???
I can be wrong but i think that polish men like to be a little macho and don't bother about clothes .....

I wouldn't say poles wearing crap and have lack of style. As far as I know every nation has poor and prosperous people, some nations are richer than another.Question is difficult to answer, some say economic background, turbulent history etc etc.

Hmmm, I like Britain and the Brits, but I honestly think that they don't dress as nicely as people in Poland. Of European nations, I also like the way the Swedes dress.

I have to say that people in Poland "overdress". I feel so under dressed in my jeans and T-shirts, when I visit my family. Even, when we go for a stroll in the park, my nieces are wearing high hills and dressy clothes, and here I am, wearing gym shoes...

I don't know, I like the way brits dress, especially women. :) As for the spot the polak game, I could do the same with English chavs. They stand out from a crowd in the same way polish "dresiarze" do. And for those not informed, a dresiarz could be considered a polish equivalent of a chav. Both types are equally annoying... they just differ in clothing.

And now if you would excuse me, I’m going out to a fancy restaurant and I still have to pair socks to my new fashionable “Jesus sandals”. Byebye. :)

re: "overdress"

- I must admit I haven't noticed that. It seems to me the Poles dress the way it fits them, just as it fits some to wear T-shirts and jeans.

And yes, they care about clothing.

Hm, if you feel 'under dressed' (sic), why not try to dress just right or even 'overdress'?
:)
PS. Of course, there are folks in Poland who dress badly.

I do...just for special occasions.. I want to be comfortable, when I travel. I would take with me the fanciest dress I could find and afford, if i were going to let's say a wedding. I have to wear conservative clothes at work, so any chance I get, I roam around in comfortable clothes. I love them. No pink rollers in my hair when grocery shopping though... :)

from my perception this seems to be a key criteria for dressing for many americans... fair play to them... if you can get away with it, why not...?
