I have noticed this cute guy at my uni who happens to be Polish. I'm mixed (mexican/ white but mostly look mexican). He doesn't speak much English but i plan to ask him out soon. How do I go about doing this or will i scare him off before i even open my mouth?

And also I've heard that men from that part of europe generally prefer blondes...smthing about how most women are blonde so that's what they're used to...? That sounds sort of ridiculous but is it true? I hope not because I have medium tan skin and dark eyes/hair. Please help someone!

Look. Woman is a woman no matter what is your colour of skin. It is all up to you - you and him. And trust me, we Poles do not categorise girls by skin colour. Most important is what you`ve got "up there" if you know what I mean.

From the thread about racism posted here it seems like Polish men would think twice before bringing a non-polish woman home. Or is the racism in Poland of a double-standard variety (like almost everywhere else in the world), where it's okay to hate on the males of a certain race, and at the same time marry their women?

Speaking from experience, I'm Polish and I have dated Italian, Puerto Rican, and good ol' "white chicks". I dont have a preference (but I do love my Polish goddesses). Blond or Brunette, Redhead, or whatever. I'm sure not every guy is the same, but give it a shot ! Atleast if you try you will know, if you dont then you will go crazy regretting that you never tried

i am an oriental. my polish boyfriend told me that he only likes me, but is not interested in asian girls in general. So my conclusion is that if he likes you, if you are the right person for him( good character, simular values, mindset), he wouldn't care which race you are.

It's white people who go to tanning salons too much. They get that orangish tint to their skin

I agree Artur, plus they end up with whats called "raccoon eyes", becuase they tan too much with their eye protectors on so their face is tan but they have pale circles around their eyes

Most poles are into interactional dating i would say. However in my opinion many poles have i dunno how to call it, complexes? and think that girls from other countries dont really like them... :(

Personnaly i have been dating a black girl from Zimbabwe for over 6 months, and we are so in love with eachother! In fact everyone who sees us is a lottle bit jelous of how happy we are ^.^ Especially polish girls who really can be nasty just becasue i have no taste in polish girls.

My parents and wholy family didnt have any problems with that she is black, they really love her in fact! We have been to poland twice and people showed interest and were polite :)
Apart from that, in my opinion if he is afraid of his parents or society or whatever then he is not worthing going for :)
