Im for it! Its just like any other sport! Youngsters can take their rough atitudes to the traning club insted of the streets... Im a MMA/BJJ practioner myself, the sport really gives u disciplin (believe it or not)...

MMA/BJJ is really growing in Poland now which I think is positive, let the world see poles are good fighters with big hearts...

We have Pawel Nastula who have fought in PRIDE (the best of the best torunament we can say), and he did really good...

We have 2 poles in the ADCC, for exampel Radek Turek, this is a great succes for Poland!
There is still a long way to go to reach high standard levels, but Poland is on the right track... =) Polska gora !

Polish Fighters should really check out Boxing mixed with Thai kicking and Catchwrestling,
Catch blows away BJJ with its Submission Techniques...There is no Guard/Mount/Side mount in Catch.....

Catchwrestling..you can "google" it....it is pure submission wrestling....by Hooking and Catching limbs to tie them up in locks, chokes, cranks, etc. "Google" Tony Ceechine
or go to Scientific wrestling.com

dtami- intresting...but are you serious with what u wrote, that "Catch blows away BJJ with its Submission Techniques...There is no Guard/Mount/Side mount in Catch....." ?
Haha, those positions are fundamental, how can they be "removed" ? It's like telling a boxer he cant use the jabb or cross...

which is why Sakuraba in "Pride' beat all the Gracies...sakuraba was from the UWF
catch wrestling assoc....Fundamentals dont mean a thing...they are easily broken countered/readjusted....Majority of the UFC winners are now learning Greco- and Catch
and polishing up on there Boxing skills...
Go and Google Catchwrestling and watch the Vids....Brazilian Tag Team guys had to bring in a Catchwrestler from America to teach them Suplexes AND proper takedowns..

he was best fighter in the whole world, never lost a fight.then he turned to politics, and football and all went wrong.he plays for one club in 1 st league fc Hrvatski Dragovoljac.
he claims he will be back, but I seriously doubt that.
there are better fighters than him in his former antiterrorist squad ATJ Lucko nowadays than him.that guys are best cops in the world in martial arts, they won world contest.he alone admitted that he isn't in top 5 fighters there..

i'm for it, have done it (ok it was a full contact amateur tourney, but still) and am friends and a training partner with a lot of these guys. This is another venue for people to develope themselves. There's a great guy named Rafael whose working and fighting in UK but got his start here in Poland.

and Mirko's still a world beater, he just doesn't have a gameplan that allows him to adjust, he should take tips from Fedor on that one.

I love Mirko's style....his right leg will send you to the emergency room and the left to the graveyard (his trainer's quote)....he knows how to sprawl...could work on his guard
a little....and he has a strong, left cross...
Total Package.....

well physically he is a total package, and skill wise maybe, but there are glaring holes in his clinch game when it comes to fighting in the corners and against the fence. He also did **** poor as far as firing combos together in his last outing.

I really want him to start his winning ways again but he's got to be more aggressive and less predictable when he's behind. when he's behind his gameplan also falls apart imo

I Agree.....if you saw the Couture fight against Gonzaga....Couture took him apart..
slammed his head on his nose...and basically demoralized him psychologically...
Gonzaga looked like he had never seen his own blood....

Couture knows what he wants to do and all the ways of getting there. Sometimes less is more. He has a limited arsenal but has perfected the gameplan on how to unleash it to its maximum effect. If only more exciting fighters could try and do the same a lil better.

i agree with you guys.his problem is arogancy.he was unbeaten, but when he suddenly lost a match,he keeps losing.
i watched all his Japan fights, man he was a bloody gladiator.but he must be aggressive, because his weakness is clinch.he could never win Fedor and be the best if you ask me,but in a true ,raw fight like k1,he s still a king. but he must stay mentally strong, and get out of politics, special forces, fighting ,making children and football at the same time if he wants to be the best.

Hmmmm, i don't know if that's his problem, it may be but i get the impression he is stuck in KO mode i.e. he feels he has to win by knock out or nothing. I mean he's always hunting for and not setting up that fatal blow. I think that shot by Randleman rattled him more than anything, i really feel that has stuck with him even up till now. He's got a great jaw, but he needs to get dirty and always stay on the attack.

Ps:
I think his ground game is loads better than he gives himself credit for but he needs to just go with the flow (to quote rickson) or rather, create the flow.

Or he can create his own opportunities...set up that awesome left kick with his hands
he has to dictate the fight...not let his opponent do it...
