Hello let me tell you about my self. Im James im nearly 19 and i have bee working with a polish orphanage for over a year in this time i have raised money for the children and visited 3 times.
This next summer i am trying to plan a trip for all the children and staff to come to England for a holiday of a life time which the children will rember for the rest of there life.
Obviously the hardest part is trying to raise money due to needing so many thousands of pounds to cover every cost.
But i don’t know if there is any one here who may be willing to help maybe place a donation or maybe if you can speak polish help me translate letters from english to polish and vice versa.

Thank You if any one thinks they way be able to help me please get in touch and i can tell you much more about it.
Thank You Again

Well i am currently registering as a charity due to wanting to take in more than 5,000 pounds. When i am fully registered i can leave the charity number etc.

I first of all went to the orphanage to redecorate it with 10,000 pounds that was donated. I have been back twice with extra money to buy children toys etc due to they having very little in there life’s. I think it would be amazing for them if they could come to England and i can get this trip to a reality. Due to being in the very early stages of planning. I am really looking for help with money, and any people who know anything about polish law for passports or could translate letters and e mails for me.

I hope this is more detail for you, any questions please ask i really do need help here.

Do the staff at the orphanage know your intentions. If so, they should be able to help with passports and details.
If it is a children's home. I mean for children that have been taken into care, but have one or both parents... you may have problems with who signs or who can sign the documents.
I do know that there are organizations that do similar work. The Polish Embassy might be able to put you in touch with them.

I'll watch this thread and if I learn more I'll let you know.

Well it is a childrens home, some of the children do have parents, this is good due to they can sign the passport form for the child, but some one told me that the children there who do not hav any parents then they will hav to go to court to get a passport. I wanted to find out all about this first then hopefully some one could translate a letter for me which i can then send to the director.
Then if they are happy and want to get all the pasports and can then i can start getting more serious money etc.

I really need some other peoples help on anything they know about the passport situation.
If maybe they could get incontact with some one or somthing.

I need all the help i can get with this project due to it being very big, but i know this would be amazing for all the children, so if any one else could help please.

Recent news hav found a coach company that will pick all the children up and take them back end of week with ferry for 5,000pound drivers doing it at a reduced rate. Any one else think they may be able to help with translating or anything. Thank You

charitycommission.custhelp.com/cgi-bin/charitycommission.cfg/php/endus er/std_adp.php?p_faqid=113

you can read this on registering a charity.

Also contact the charity commission on publications@charitycommission.gsi.gov.uk, requesting onfi booklets CC21, CC22 and GD1, also CC30 would be helpful.

you should not be doing this without being registered with the charity Commission, it's illegal and you jeopardise your registration

No the team will help fundraising, but we havent started any yet.
I read on there website that you dont have to register unless you are planning to raise over 5,000 pounds.
But we are going to registar before we start.

This is a tricky one, you need a license from the local council to collect money via a street collection. Doubtful you will get a permist if you're not a registered charity. But until you raise £5,000 or can show evidense you are about to receive £5,000 you can't register.

Your best bet is to try and raise the money another way, not by street collection, sponsored walk or something. The Commission won't register you if they are not convinced you can raise the cash.

It might be an idea to contact a charity with similar objectives, you can get info from the Charity Commission website. One charity I can think of is "Love Russia" they are based in the UK and fund an orphanage in Russia, you can get their details from teh Commission website

Hello im not sure about that?
Its very complicated due to the fact children are moved about all the time and are normally kept with there brothers and sisters.
Im not sure this perticular home does this, but i know that there are other homes that you can adopt from, im not sure how you would go about doing this though.
Probably best thing is to do some reseach on the interent.

hello james. I am a student at Middlesborough College and my class is wanting to raise money to help the orphanage that you raise money for. We are also hoping to plan a visit over to the orphanage. Could you please send me the contact details of the orphanage you raise the money for so that we could contact them. If this isn's possible then could you please get in touch with me and we could work alongside you in a way to raise the money. Thank you for taking the time to read this and i hop to hear from you soon.
