Blimey shakeNbake, you must be my identical nose twin! My is a little bit smaller though.

Matyjasz, your nose is gorgeous, too. Very, very nice.

Jesus! Polish people ARE rude!!!

First of all, I am a GIRL which MAY explain why I would be offended...various times, my dad has told me i have a d*ck nose (which is from HIS side) and I would spend the whole night crying...I was young too, and still am, I suppose. It is just a touchy topic. The reason I asked was because if Polish people DO tend to have big noses, at least I could somewhat be PROUD of it, and not just think I am ugly. So EXCUSE ME. But really, what I've concluded, is that you guys really assume way too much, judge too much, and are really just mean! I am glad I am half Hungarian and Slovakian, so that I don't have to be associated completely with such a nation!!!

Second, I wasn't aware that you post about "real problems" on here. Next time, I'll start a topic about how I'm depressed and I cut myself. This isn't sarcastic. I actually am. I know strangers don't care about such things, and since THIS IS a POLISH FORUM, I figured I would ask about the nose thing. Many nationalities have something distinctive about them, so I thought maybe the large nose was one of them.

And no, no surgery for me, thanks anyway. I put my energy and my money into better things, and I realize we will all turn old and dead one day anyway, so why put thousands of dollars into such a thing? I could get run over tomorrow.

Or maybe you just need to stop focusing on your own little problems and get a life. There are real problems out there in the world. Don't expect to come here and turn us into miserable little people like you who can't laugh or allow anyone else to laugh. Grow up.

Calm down, CD. Don't let people on an anonymous forum upset you. Some people are going to be jerks on here because they can be without any real consequences. You just need to ignore those people. As for the size of your nose, I can't comment on whether you have a big nose or not, but as I said before, the Polish people I know have distinct noses (some may consider them big but I don't). A nose is what gives a face character. I assume you are somewhat young, and being a girl, I know what it's like to not like some part of the anatomy. Many girls complain of being too fat, too short, too tall....you get my drift. The media portrays what beauty should be, but it's not reality. Unfortunately, young girls see the models in magazines and television ads and think if they don't look like the models then there is something wrong with them. I can assure you there is nothing wrong with them. You seem to have a good head on your shoulders, so don't let your nose determine how you feel about yourself. It's what you have on the inside that ultimately counts and I'm sure you are a beautiful person on the inside as well as on the outside----nose and all! Hope this helps!

Just so you can get even more attention than I'm sure you already do and so that everyone can tell you how sorry they feel for you like you're the only one who has ever had problems? Go ahead. Do it.

F@*K off you jerk!

Do you honestly believe carpe diem is for real? It's a joke. In one sentence she claims to be depressed and in the next she talks about having energy and using her money for better things. That's not a true depressed person. This probably is not even the person who originally asked the question.

On top of that, she says "I'll get over it". Truly depressed people don't have such a positive outlook. Maybe she needs to explain that.

Are you a physician? How do you know what her mental state is? I know young girls and I know their bodies can be a form of great anquish. As for it being a joke, well, I would rather take her seriously and it be a joke, than critisize and humiliate her and it not be a joke. Even though you are an anonymous poster on this site, it doesn't give you the right to be an a$$, although it makes it much easier for you to be one....hope you are proud of yourself!

Thanks Ranj. I know you're right, sometimes it's hard to take the right advice and apply it to one's life. But I thank you for being so nice.

And seriously.."Mean" you are ridiculous. I wouldn't post about my problems, because I know it doesn't belong here. I'm not trying to get attention, and no one feels sorry for me. You are the epitome of everything that is sick and depraved about the human race. I actually pity that you are the way you are. For so short a life, you're going to judge and harass a person over the internet? Pathetic.
And what exactly are "real problems"? My problems are just as valid as anyone else's. We are all living here on this earth, and I have a right to have problems. But yet, I wasn't even talking about my problems. There are world wide problems, such as global warming and wars and genocide, and then there are problems everyone deals with individually. I'm not going to be happy and laugh just because YOU seem to think I can't have problems because there are larger ones!!! Obviously there are bigger ones, but I feel mine most directly, and it's really only natural that people are within their own world, because that is how they experience the world--through their mind and hearts and feelings. I am not going to feel sorry that I have "issues", and I realize there's national ones, and that everyone has things to deal with. But that doesn't mean YOU have a right to be so cruel and disgusting. And it doesn't mean I can't have problems. If people were more empathetic, we may just have more understanding between people in the world.

That's called sarcasm and many depressed (as well as angry) people use it as a defense mechanism. You know nothing, so just run along to another thread please.

Just because I'm depressed doesn't mean I can't at times have energy and use my money wisely. At the time, I have a small amount of hope for the future, and that I can meet new people, and learn new things. What the hell does saying i have energy have to do with my depression? I can't believe you are arguing semantics with me. YOU need a life.

You see, CD, you are intelligent and insightful----concentrate on that and not your nose---that's what's going to take you far in life!

carpe diem, I can see you do have serious problems. I thought you were a hijacker and that it was a joke. Please accept my appology. Don't cut yourself over things, girl. You're giving your power over to people who don't even deserve it. No one deserves to have a girl be cutting herself over them.

You can only tell from a side view that it's big.

shakeNbake07, has anyone ever told you that you kind of look like Mateusz Damiecki from that angle? That's a compliment, by the way.

I've been wondering the same thing about Germans. I have 1 german/polish friend who has a rather prominent nose, 1 polish friend with a sort of large nose and another polish/danish friend with a not-so-large kinda cutsey nose. I always sort of thought Germans often tend to have a domineering attitude or feeling about them and apparently that is a trademark of the prominent nose.

Oh and I have 2 exes of Polish Decent who have longer sort of slender noses - one was actually quite gorgeous for the male face. And those cheeks! Oh my god you have got to love the rosey cheeks. So sweet. for whatever reason I keep falling into the hands of lovely Polish. = )

But on the topic of noses, remember that no matter what your roots your nose and face will continue to change shape throughout life, you may not appreciate it now but eventually you will grow to love it.

and that was incredibly RUDE of that ***** by the way, she definately needs a good "talking to".... lol

It is actually attractive for a male to have a larger than avg nose. A man shouldnt have a small nose, because it is feminin, but a larger and masculine one... NoT HUGE.. but kinda big. Also, just to conclude, it all depends on who you ask. If you ask a white or asian person if u have a big nose, most likely they will say yes, but if u ask a european or middleeastern if u have a big nose they would most likely say no... last point, Polish ppl are among the best looking people in the world, even tho they have larger than avg noses.... I guess it looks attractive with the rest of there common features IE: Strong Jaw line, high cheekbones, which most races dont even have. Take care! hope this makes u feel better

All the Polish people I know have small noses. I don't know that many though.

Of all the faults a person can have, a big nose is way-way-way down the list to have. If fact it can be an asset.
