I remember Kaziou Deyna (forgive the spelling) back in the late 70's / early 80's who was a great centre forward for Manchester City, but other than that, my knowledge of Polish football is not good. But from my initial enquiry about arranging a game in Gdansk on this and other Polish forums and my almost complete lack of response, it seems that football is not that important in Poland. My initial enquiry is copied below, come on Poland, surely there must be someone out there who loves footy and can help me sort a game. Life is not all serious stuff, chill out, play football ! >>>>> `Initial enquiry posted two weeks ago` >>>> Hello everyone out there, my name is Gary Morgan, I'm 43 years old and I've been burdened with the task of trying to organise a game of football for my colleagues / fellow tourists for our forthcoming trip to Gdansk. We intend to fly over on Friday the 9th May 08 and would like to organise a game for the following day, Saturday 10th. Is there any expats or english speaking locals on line whom would be able to help me. Our guys are all Vets, with a capital V. In other words, we are all well past our prime, so we are not looking to end up with a mis match against a squad of fit youngsters whom will run rings round us and cause embarrasment if you get my drift. If you can help, sort out a suitable team to play us and a decent venue to play at etc, then I would love to hear from you. Here's hoping !!!
