As far as drugs are concentrate, I don't see many countries follow the Dutch on this issue. While Dutch young bother with such 'important' things, Muslims don't.

here we go again...what other countries follow the Dutch example? Italy is yet another country that recently said that busting people for marijuana is counterproductive, now you can smoke much more freely while gawking at nude marble statues of boys. And Muslims don't bother with hashish? You have obviously never been to Morocco...

So maybe I will shortly show program of PO (winers)

lower taxes

less social benefits

more proffesional forigin policy

less bureaucracy

That is what PO has pormised, and now we wait for effects.

Pal, If you didn't notice then I inform you that we "joined Europe" not so long ago and If you find Holland to be such a cool country then why don't you move there ?

Okay, I know this is nothing to do with the topic this thread is meant to be about, but it is relevant to some of the posts here…My Dad has Dutch friends who have moved to France, because they feel Holland is no longer a safe place to bring their children up, in particular they feel they are unable to protect their children from paedophiles

just because Holland is one of my favorite places to visit doesnt mean that I have to live there. Yes I think Holland is a cool country, but I make it personal policy not to go and stay where I'm not explicitly invited to do so. Poland is my place of birth and my home of choice, thank you very much, even if I have to share that home with backwards-looking traditionalist fuddy-duddies who are scared of Tinky Winky and his furry friends

pedophiles, although indeed a creepy and disguisting breed, are everywhere. In Holland they feel a little more "free" to come out of the closet so it seems like there are more of them, I have not seen any credible evidence to suggest there are many more per capita than any other country

or to stay on topic I could have said "we voted PO so we wouldn't have to move to Holland" hahaha

it's not because there are more of them that they left, it's because the laws in Holland make it harder to protect children from them

Honestly our liberals in Holland would be conservatives ...

as to political climate in Poland :

I feel that the most important issue now is money, Poles want more money, more comfortable life, stronger economy etc.

I think discussions about abortion, church, history, homosexuals exist but defiantely economy is main issue now.

I dont think that events like EURO PRIDE in 2010 will change Poland into pedophiles paradise ...

Absolutely agree. If people are happier finacially they would pay less attention to social issues such as abortion etc, eventhough those issues are important, they cannot overshadow the importance of a healthy economy.

I never said that it would, I was talking about a Dutch families experience in Holland, the age of consent is something like 13, the laws are so liberal it makes it easier for paedophiles to prey on children. I never mentioned homosexuals, that has nothing to do with it. I was just commenting on one dutch families experience that has made them move to another country to live

It looks like accusation ... :)

Honestly I think that we should be more including society, not excluding. When I see far-right "parades" and parades organisated by homosexulas. I know which side has my support. What is important both sides have the law to show they point of view ...

randompal,

The only political party in Poland that I know would allow drugs is UPR. Personally I disagree with them about this issue however if you care about it so much, above everything, you know for which party you should vote :)

An age of consent of 13 is strange, first time ive heard of anything like that in Europe, but what the hell. Dont tell me Holland isnt a democracy, if they dont like it they can vote for a higher age of consent. Holland has had lots of critics for a long time, mainly stuffy conservatves who shock too easily.

oops looks like the age of consent in the Netherlands is 16 (just like many other countries) proving once again that internet forums are full of poeple no kmnowing what they are talking about - better do your homework next time instead of listening to hwtaever propaganda the LPR begins spouting forth haha

It was not myself who claimed so, if you read this thread carefully. About democracy in Netherlands we will see whether their government organize referendum. If they will adopt EU treaty without approval of Dutch voters whom rejected it before then indeed they are not democracy. (like all other EU countries) This would be a pure fact, not just their empty slogans. I see people for what they are doing not saying.
