Well Im a freemason and my GF is a catholic and recently her priest proclaimed that freemasonry has proven itself to be from satan. HE CLAIMED IN FRONT OF AN ENTIRE CONGREGATION THAT A WHILE BACK FREEMASONS HAD BEEN INDICTED FOR BLOWING UP A CATHOLIC CHURCH. Now this is all lies the church he said was blown up never was blown up! There is no evidence for this yet all of the poles eat it up.

Seriously this church should b sued for slander! LYING TO INSTILL HATE IN THE MASSES! WTF Let me see wat my lodge has done. 1. support childrens cancer hospitals 2. help children with speech impairments and children with scholarships for college. How am i supposed to respond to morons like this? How can they say a thing like that when masons give 1.6 million dollars every day to charities? I confronted my GFs mom about this and she told me that the freemasons in poland gangrape girls for initiations! Now i haven't been on this subject with her much but is this typical of poles to believe everything some moron in a robe says? THESE ARE ALL LIES! When i asked her how she knew about this she said she had a book on it! Then i asked her "may i see ur book?' She said oh well u can't read polish its in polish. After that im like okay my GF reads it so she can translate! Then she proceded to tell me how she has now lost it! WTF is wrong? IS this typical of poles? I don't like manipulation but seriously if i marry this girl HER PARENTS AREN'T SEEING MY GRANDCHILDREN UNTIL THEY STOP BEHAVING THIS WAY!

Maybe not everyone eats it up, I bet many are smart enough to not believe everything they hear. As for the priest, what he is doing (lying) is against his own religion, not a very good role model in my opinion :/

It is well known around the World that the Polish Roman Catholic Church is vile and corrupt. Poland, like most third world countries seems to be transfixed by Catholicism. Poland needs to rid itself of cigarettes, alcohol and the blood church.

Masonry had very ugly anti-church record during the French revolution. So at least from that time the church forbid believers to join masonry ranks. I don't really follow these issues but i don't doubt that leftist masonry has still some issue with Catholic Church.

Beside of that, you sounds like somebody who talk to everybody around about its membership in masonry (your user name is the best example). So when you met her parents they already learned about your masonic membership. No wonder that they think that you are some kind of freak.

Aside note: I see almost all Brits don't waste even a single opportunity to spit on this pain on their asses, I mean Catholic Church. No wonder that Irish always had some many problems with you.

well, things haven't changed all that much, have they? some things are way better, some way worse. if you shake it, it'll still shake about the place he puts it.

1. I would not call Tory politicians rightists
2. I might know little about masonry but I know that not all lodges are leftist

Well, I'm not really impressed by English culture, however I would not call them third world country because of that. Perhaps if Michal would bother to back his empty claim with some explanation we would know more. However he seems to be a champion of one line long posts.

Almost everybody know about French revolution. Here is some explanation. Use Google and you will learn more.

CATHOLIC QUICK QUESTIONS

I don't know how do you know this in first place. Beside of that many calls American culture to be "anti-culture", so especially Americans should be wary of lecturing grand old nations on this matter.

The Freemasons is a private society and the Polish Roman Catholic Church would have no knowledge of such secret ocurrences. The Roman Catholic Church in Poland DEMANDS obedience from its followers. Remember, fear of the unknown is a good motivator to keep people in line. The church in Poland needs money and that comes from the congregation. It is the worshipers who are poor and NOT the church. Bloody rich vicars with a BMW or two and a nice girl friend in the countryside. Can't be bad!

I must be going to the wrong lodge!

But seriously, there are a lot of priests in Poland, not all of whom are particularly worldly wise (remote village school to provincial seminary to remote village parish where people hang on their every word) and they do indeed come out with some nonsense from time to time. But not all.

When the best known and loved figure within Polish masonry died a year ago his (very big) funeral was attended by a Roman Catholic Bishop in an official capacity. Most masons here are Catholic to one degree or another. There are a huge number of Catholics in Poland and Catholicism is, as its name suggests, universal. Therefore it contains people of the highest level of common sense as well as the most credulous.

I do wish that some, and I'm thinking about a certain radio station, were a little slower to condemn things thatothers do and a little quicker to examine their own actions. Also that those people who make a living publishing books containing the most ludicrous allegations about freemasonry (a man called Stanisław Kraijski writes some spectacular drivel for the Polish-language market claiming among other things that the YMCA is a masonic 'front' - and he's often on the radio fanning the flames of misinformation) would find something a bit worthier to write about.

Okay i checked out the link u gave me and it contained nothing about the french revolution. It also contained nothing of substance. So wat if u swear to b punished if u break the bonds of brotherhood! No 1 will actually go through with it anymore its just symbolic.
Freemasonry isn't a religion we allow muslims, jews, mormons, and any1 who believes in a higher power to join! We do not discuss religion in the lodge that is not allowed! WE CANNOT DISCUSS POLITICS EITHER! So Im still waiting for something about the french revolution... if u can't give me it im gonna assume ur another INVALID conspiracy theorist with an IQ of 60.

Socialist envy in the purest form! LOL

You people are like those poor peasants who prefer your rich neighbor to lose all its cows instead work to improve your own herd. Envy does killing your mind, you lose all objectivity, you are out of touch with reality. How typical mindset it is for a socialist, I know that you think more about other people money. A little advice, please keep your hands and mind as well out of my cash and other people who willingly donate for a church or anything else. Can you?

Still if you seat in the US and don't even speak Polish according to your profile then your possibilities to observe situation in Poland is very limited. Personally I don't belong to apologists of everything what is going on in Poland, this is even opposite, so I do observe situation over here. However is you say that Poland don't improved much culturally, I'm curious what is still missing here according to your observation? (in comparison the high "cultural standards" of which other nation? )
