Ireland is not British - indeed the attitude and ignorance you display in stating that it is, is quite comparable to the attitude you are attempting to denigrade. Northern Ireland is part of the UK and you will remember (if youre old enough), that for 30 years until the mid 1990s UK (and Irish) citizens butchered each other in a manner similar to what has taken place in the Balkans. I presume you wont describe all British or Irish animals on that basis?

Leaving aside the local animosities the wider issue here is that the granting of independence to Kosovo is akin to allowing Bradford, with its Asian majority, declare themselves independent of England. Of course the actions and attitude of the Serbs has made it easier for the US and EU to recognise Kosovo. However, this action sets a precedent under International law which could resonate across Europe in the not too distant future.

Crow this is something for you :)

On the biggest Polish internet portal people posted "Support for Serbia" topic under article about burning American embassy. Bush achieved something I would never expect to see.

This is not good.

U.S. outrage as Serb protesters burn embassy

BELGRADE (Reuters) - Scores of protesters smashed their way into the U.S. embassy in Belgrade on Thursday in anger at Kosovo's independence, ransacking rooms and setting fires before riot police dispersed the crowd.

Washington reacted with anger.

"I'm outraged by the mob attack," said its ambassador to the United Nations, Zalmay Khalilzad, who added he would ask the U.N. Security Council to condemn it unanimously in the latest diplomatic shockwave from Kosovo's secession on Sunday.

All joking aside, me too. You can really "feel" his pain. Reading up I felt the Serbs were given alot of power. Change is difficult and he is fighting for his country. I guess many of us have been there and understand.

i would kindly ask Poles that they urge their government to remove Polish special police from border region between Kosovo - rest of Serbia. Serbs are very sad because of this situation.

Kosovo is legally part of suvereign Serbian territory, no matter what NATO or EU say. They aren`t above international order.

Poles, you are now on the hooly land of Racowie. Kosovo is part Serbia, part of Slavic world. Prevent mistake of your government Poles, turn your back to NATO/EU masters.

Let Polish police come and drink with Serbs, talk to them as we can understand each others, as always. Serbs would tell you Poles, that Serbs must return on Kosovo.

Don`t let Poles that NATO use sons of Poland against Serbs. It is abomination to our common ancestors, to Christ- Our Lord. We Slavs have only each others and Christ, without each others, without Christ, we are dust and easy target for hostile foreigners.

God save us all!

They have them there because they know Serbs are not going to fight Slavs. So they reduce the tension. However I am sure that if Serbs get in,polish troops will not react. And if Albanians provoke,Poles will get them down.

yes. Idiotic NATO put them also on Kosovo - rest of Serbia border. I can`t imagine that Greaks take part in creation of Greater Albania. Abominable. NATO is on the way to oblivion.

yes, Serbia/Kosovo is maybe last NATO mistake

Yes, some students from my previous university institution took part in this. (I was at work : ) There were some petitions signed as well, and the govermnent is stalling, thank God.
Hopefully, with prayer and peaceful negotiations, this issue can be resolved, and the heart can be restored to its rightful owner.

Yes,there are some military men.I think most are employed in health sector and mine clearance, they are not in first line.Presence of Greeks would infuriate Albanians.Maybe I am wrong and they sent more recently.
