Polish Suffixes Indicating Relationship

I would like to know more about the suffixes which are attached to surnames to show a relationship. I read that -owa is wife of "insert surname," and -owna is daughter of "insert surname." Are these correct? What are some others? I'd appreciate any help.

Yes it is correct, but as I said before it is somewhat old fashioned. Also, it only works with some surnames, never with the ones ending with -ski/ska or -cki/cka.
You can pretty much always use -owa and -ówna for the surnames ending with -ewicz and other endings.
Examples:

surname / surname+owa / surname+ówna

Karp / Karpowa / Karpówna
¦led¼ / ¦ledziowa / ¦ledziówna
Kowal / Kowalowa / Kowalówna
Gaca / Gacowa / Gacówna
Koach / Koachowa / Koachówna
and so on. Personally I would stick to the original surname.
