Has anyone had any success trying to find records of family that were in WW2 or that died in a concentration camp?

Polish War records

Some of these might be found in British achives [Kew] or even German archives.

Search this site for more info.

You really need to know who you are looking for, what unit they were in, where they served.

With regard to German records and Poles: The only records I'm certain about are shipping records, which relate to a time before the war.

Stack,

What camps are you referring to? For Siberia camps used by the Russian 1939-45 go to kresy-Siberia @ yahoogroups they have lists and links and who you can write to.

I am trying to find out more of my Grandfather's service record during his time in the Polish Armed Forces (USSR) but do not know what unit he was in as all I know he enlisted in March 1942 and I got his UK RAF service record.

How do I find out more?

The Sikorski institute in London may(and i stress MAY.) be able to help you there. Your Grandfather served in the RAF? was this post war then? Because Im presuming you mean he served in the Polish forces formed in the USSR later to become 2corps,not that he served with the LWP (Polish forces that fought exclusivly on the Eastern front under USSR command).
a quick google will get you the Sikorski address.
