mjwabuke23,

go to a Polish festival. Yorba Linda has Polish gatherings. I went to a Harvest celebration in June and I had never seen so many Poles in one place at one time. And they are beautiful. I'm part Polish and I wish I had the beautiful blue eyes that Poles have. mine are brown.

have you tried going to Polish churches? there are 2 that I know of in Los Angeles, the other in Orange County. how about Polish restaurants? how about Polish dances or Polish concerts? you can find them through search engines. lots of good-looking Poles go to them. they might be able to tell you where else they hang out.

There's also Warszawa Restaurant in Los Angeles:

http://www.warszawarestaurant.com

There's a couple of places in Orange County. I don't know if they're still there:

Polish Restaurant Master Smoke Bbq
2610 W La Palma Ave, Anaheim, CA 92801
714-827-9074

Polka Deli
1710 Tustin Ave.
Orange, CA 92665
(714) 974-8276

And there's a church in Yorba Linda. They have big events:

Pope John Paul II Polish Center
polishcenter.org/

And in Los Angeles:

Our Lady of the Bright Mount-Polish (I think they have big events, too)
polskaparafiala.org

Polish National Church
1118 N Commonwealth Ave
Los Angeles, CA 90029
(323) 665-2075

go to some place where they teach the Polish language. You can find that out for sure in USA. Why do you think its a big deal?

Or are you interested in something more. If so, then this is fast becoming an old excuse ... but maybe... it still works..

anyways....good luck

I ran across this page on accident looking for something on google... I saw someone was asking about churches and restaurants- both addressed. Did you guys know about polish happy hour? I found out about it last yr after I moved here. It's actually a lot of fun. The next event is next Fri, Feb 23 at Club 2020 on Wilshire in Santa Monica at 9PM.

I just stumbled across this thread....I know a number of Poles in Santa Monica, but never heard of this happy hour. May have to check it out. As to restaurants, Warszawa is the most well known I know...also, the Polish deli between 11th & 12th on Wilshire. I usually get my heavy duty Polish fix when I visit family back east.

Polish Peoples In Los Angeles

Where are the polish ladies at in LA?? Come down here

3424 W. Adams Blvd.
Los Angeles, CA 90018

1st Annual Bal Mlodziezy

Tired of those Polish events designed for your parents and not for people your age?

Get ready for the 1st Annual Bal Mlodziezy, an event exclusively for young Polish adults living in Los Angeles. No longer do you have to worry about whether anybody your age will be at this Polish event: this event is exclusively for us!

It promises to be a good time. We have three birthdays being celebrated and a large banquet hall to fit, so a good turnout is guaranteed. The opportunity to meet this many young Poles comes only once a year, so don't miss it.

Dress code is club attire to semi-formal. Music will be a mix of US Top 40 hits, as well as some of our generation's Polskie Przeboje and EuroDance.

This event will be like no other, but only you can make it happen by spreading the word!
