to save life - ratować życie

Eurola:
ambulance - ambulans (pogotowie ratunkowe)

polishgirltx:

Eurola:

or simply karetka or (colloqiually) pogotowie :)
(wezwać karetkę/pogotowie - to call an ambulance)
Pogotowie Ratunkowe - actually is the institution (paramedics + doctors), rarely used for an ambulance vehicle (the full name is simply too long)
erka (colloquially, because of the R - for reanimation/rescucitation - letter on the vehicle) - ambulance for special occurences (usually heart failures), because for decades the Polish health care has been so poor that they couldn't have all the special equipment on an ambulance, so there are those for urgent and non-urgent cases.

PolskaDoll:
potykać się - trip up

polishgirltx:
potknąć się

PolskaDoll:
OK - what did I say? :)

potknąć się is perfective, potykać się is imperfective, but they both mean "to stumble / trip up"

PolskaDoll:

głodny (głodnym is Instrumental/Locative case)

osiol:

Seanus:

Like Seanus said or "ból dupy", but I'm afraid we're not using this term for an annoyance.

Krzysztof:
Przejadło mi się

Which word would be stressed?

Krzysztof:

I know, but I remember after a long, uncomfortable car journey, the phrase 'Dupa boli' being much used.

positive/negative - pozytywny/negatywny (about a test, a reaction to a proposal etc.), but rather twierdzący/przeczący (about an answer)
