I got a recorder from the cable company and now I pre-record everything I want to see and watch it on my own time, fast-forwarding through the commercials. Don't laugh, but my life improved markedly!

In Australia all national TV channels are free of charge, also you don't pay fees for using TV as it is in Poland, or in the UK, or in many other countries.

You can always sign up for pay TV - Foxtel and you'll be able to choose & watch channels without the commercials

you live in southbank from memory?

if you're looking for fruit, veg, fish, meats, etc then try the south melbourne/victoria markets.

the victoria one even has a polish deli, just dont get sucked into buying the pierogi there.

coles/safeway are the best for the other things.

Polish shop at Vic market is pretty expensive...
And I got some stuff from there that was well past best before date.
Once I got lettuice from south melbourne market with worms in it... since then I'm shopping at Safeway just across the street from the market but I don't like it.
I'm making my own pierogi tomorrow as its my birthday... I need something polish to celebrate it.
So what do you do for fun ?

just got home to Australia. God I miss Poland! I was just starting to learn the language, etc. Australian girls are nowhere near as good as Polish ones either, in every respect. :P

this is all too common with men of Pole extraction, just enjoy the sweetness of the visits. Some make the mistake of settling here for good (after being lured by the women and tasty food) and then once you have your first ruin-in with Polish bureaucracy then you realise that you have make a tragique mistake.

it is expensive but considering the closest polish clubs to us are scumshine, dandewog or rowville it is what we deal with it.

yeah, i was at vic mkt 2 weeks ago and was told by a store owner for touching the peaches. i promptly went to safeway/coles to do the rest of my vegie/fruit shopping.

i live in the norf, so i shop at psarokos.

for fun, usually go for drinks after work on a friday. not much else really.

if you're looking for something to do then check this out, my brother plays in the band:

when are you coming?

bad news, the rights to top gear have been bought by a commercial network and as asikia said we have ads a plenty. it could have the potential to ruin the show.

im also not sure how up to date it will be.
