i just walked out of this new cafe in Brunswick. it is called 'Court Jester Cafe'. it is hidden amongst industrial Brunswick so it is a little hard to find but once you do, its well worth the hunt! they make some of the best pierogi i have ever had!!! the guy was telling me that they hand make them all on site with his grandmother and that they learned how to make them from his zeider who was a baker in poland. they were amazing! i also had his golabkis (stuffed cabbage rolls) which were insane!! really worth a visit if you live in the area. they are open cafe hours and i got their website which is courtjestercafe.com.au. happy eating!

i am quite fond of the north and would ideally like to live in thornbury, preston or even reservoir...but house prices have gone crazy.

she is better off going to the albion club in scumshine, its closer and is more traditional polish food.

I was going to ask how good the Sunshine one was.
My sister lives in Sunshine and it is only 45-50 minutes from where I am. I have been meaning to check that place out for a while. So it is recommended then I guess?

Hi guys, i'm yet to go but i was having dinner with dave the owner recently and it sounds like all the food is made traditionally. dave is half polish, half ukrainian. Hey KS - should meet you there.. Dave says they do an awesome brekkie.

i think they do private night bookings. my cousin had his birthday there apparently and the guys let his band set up in the dining area

Apparently, Court Jester has closed down. Does anyone know why?

It seemed to be doing well. And with the two Sydney girls getting rave reviews for their barszcz on "My Kitchen Rules", I thought this would spark some interest in Polish cuisine amongst the inner city trendies.
