Hotel/Apartment accomodation in Dubai......any recommendations?

I'm planning to travel to Dubai towards the end of October for a few days. However, having spent countless hours on the internet searching for hotel/apartment deals, i'm very hesitant as most reviews i've read seem abit suspect - 'Tourist trap'. Does anyone genuinely know of a hotel/apartment that could suit a family of 4 - 2 adults & 2 children (3 & 6) with fairly low rates (3*/4*) preferably?

Witam HI I live in Abu Dhabi, but there was opened the first 1* hotel. Night for 99 AED so about 80 PLN. website w.w.w.easyhotel.com I do not know any others. MOst of them are quite expensive. Good luck in searching Joanna

Thanks Joanna, I actually got a nice hotel apartment in Dubai priced reasonably! How's Abu Dhabi? Dubai was wicked - very hot and very clean!

warszawski: visa requirements for Polish nationals before you book Contrary to some vibes posted here on PF, I got the Dubai Visa with no problems at all. I used the online application service and got my e-Visa the following day. But then again, we know visa applications are very contetious. Different scenario, different situation hence different outcomes.
