you polacks are a shame.

Tens of thousands of children living in Eastern Europe will continue to receive child benefit despite the payment being stripped from middle-class families in this country.

Tell me this, espana. It is the British government that are shelling out the cash so how are the Poles to blame?
alexw68  Oct 11, 10, 23:03    #3
Not only that - by not being in the UK and therefore not being a potential drain on UK health and social services they are costing the UK a lot less than if they had stayed.

Espana, you re a waste of human life. Just vanish, eh?

Well, he did raise an actual issue and the Telegraph is a reliable source. However, they may frame it in such a way as to mislead readers given their strong right-wing tendencies. Espana was right to raise it but wrong to blame the Poles. The Labour government horribly mismanaged the benefits issue and they got their comeuppance.

Poland this Poland that bla bla bla...

Seriously poles are dumb to travel to a country that don't appreciate them. I hope all the poles leave the UK and when only the pakis, arabs and all the other foreigners are left the Brits will start to miss the white european poles and wish that they wouldn't have threated them so bad.

Many Brits do appreciate the work of the Poles. Not only those unscrupulous employers either. My family have heard nothing but good stories.

Can the mods send this thread and the OP to neverland? Thanks.

It shows that there are 4 of you present. Even if none of you are Polish, you can recognize the offensive nature of this thread.

As I said, he raised an important issue here. It's not like he was quoting a rag either. Come on, there is no reason to banish it. Many Poles did benefit which I find unfair but it isn't their fault.

Why should the poles stay in a country that despise them so much? some young poles dreams about to travel to the Uk and earn big cash and then live like a small king in his village. But what he don't think about is that the day he enters the UK he won't be seen as a human being, all he is over there is cheap labour/eastern european scum etc etc. And denying this is so typical ignorant brits that lives in their little fairy tale bubble.

I really feel sorry for the young poles that gets so humiliated in the UK. they try so hard but still all they ever will be is a eastern europan scumbag that every brits believes lives on the social welfare and only sucks the queens little piggy bank dry.

Well, it hardly helped when many came to do menial work but we shouldn't forget that many brought excellent skills with them, often superceding the available ones in the UK. There were some funny shenanigans in the UK in trade unions and governmental circles. They single-handedly brought the country to its knees so less blaming of the Poles, please. Now tell me, is it the fault of the Poles that they study damn hard for so little reward? NO

I most certainly don't as they are pejorative terms and I don't like those that are derogatory.

Than why are you engaging this troll as if nothing is the matter?

The noun Polack (/'polak/), in the English language, is a derogatory reference to a Pole or person of Polish descent[1]. It is an Anglicisation of the Polish language word Polak, which means a Polish male person (feminine being Polka). Although the Polish word has a neutral connotation, the English loanword "Polack" is insulting.

? I think Espana meant the ones living over in Spain (not holidaying) of which most own their own business or are retired and own their own properties out there..

Wroclaw Boy has english blood , he deserved more this money than the polacks.

The system is messed up thats for sure, its there to be abused and the Poles take it - why the hell not? 400 PLN / month for 16 years, thats a lot of money in PL. It is enough to pay for a baby for the first few years if your careful.

Under EU rules, child benefit is paid to parents who work and pay tax in the UK and whose children have stayed in their home countries.

This is the same with british families living in pOLAND but kinds in Uk. Its the Eu's fault not UK government

Quote from the article the author of this thread is talking about:
A spokesman for the Child Poverty action Group said: "The EU citizens this applies to are paying their taxes in Britain, so they are entitled to something in return for their contribution.
"In fact they get less back than other taxpayers because their children are not being educated here or being looked after by the NHS.
"If we denied them the rights and benefits other resident taxpayers get for their contribution, we would have no legitimate right continue taxing each of them thousands of pounds.
"It works both ways too, so British people working abroad can claim similar benefits in the countries where they work and pay taxes.
"It's not a good idea to take away the rights of British parents working overseas to support for their families back in the UK."

Also from the same article:
Emma Boon, campaign manager of the Tax Payers Alliance said: "It is completely unfair that our taxpayers are expected to fund child benefits for children that do not live in this country."

OUR TAXPAYERS? people who receive Child Benefit for their children living not in UK are working or receipients of Contribution Based Job Seekers Allowance -they pay taxes to.
