Polonius3:
The British Polonia is fed up wtih anti-Polish stereotypes circulating in the UK and branding Poles as anti-Semites, homophobes or people trying to steal British jobs, If you read Polish, check out:

Lets go back to OP's post. It might sound controvercial but Im aginst such actions because I truly would be ashamed to invite some Jewish ppl to Lodz due to a great amount of fooltball hool's graffitis showing you know what... Maybe we should first paint such things to sound more convincing...

I am Pole and I am proud to be antisemite. Count me as a 7th. Here is a proof: No to co że Szwecji? :-)
I was thinking to explain myself but decided not to.

Well once a polish woman from Sweden, when I had said she's a shame for Poland, has suggested I must be a jew because Łodz is traditionally jewish city...
The same to you - stay in Sweden and please dont tell anybody you are a Pole.

Fail.

Still proud. Prove me being anisemite is something wrong. I treat this word as truth fighter.

WW2, KZ, Holocaust. Those were the products of anti semitism. So you're proud of these events?

I just meant that we should take a rational approach and not jump on the label bandwagon too quickly. Too many people are prejudiced and have inbuilt bias, wouldn't you say? If we truly understand sth (or believe we do), then we can take a stance. Many don't, however. Then Bob Dylan got it spot on, "don't criticize what you can't understand" (The Times they are a Changin).

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pq4eeyVr_Hs, we don't want to get to this position. This is a more light-hearted and comical approach to what I'm trying to say, please watch and laugh.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e7cry-4pyy8&feature=related, the film version. Good old Groucho Marx. RIP Marx Brothers, you were legends! America has a great tradition of comedy :)

Could you tell me please, why are you so smart here, on Polish forum?
You English natives use your language to criticise Poles.
Why do you do this?
I will tell you that many of you here are silly and conceited people without a clue about what does it mean to be Polish but with a fake certainty that Poland is far far away from the rest of Europe not even mentioning about a world.
You do not use a name for my nationality.
You are just able to observe and find a very bad treats of Poles.
What do you know about us?
This what you see? No, this what you read, write and observe but imo it is just a small partition.

Because vice versa Poles use their language to criticize the Brits, or in your case, you use English:

See what I mean?

And btw, English is not my native language.

On second thought, I can even extend the challenge to include all plastic Poles,
and Polish emmigrants in various countries around the World - they are Polish too after all
and you have written "Polish anti-semites" and "complete lack of Polish people"
countering anti-semitism.

I've written about not liking Jews but I gave my reasons. The reasons were that they pretty much blame all the Poles for not helping them in WWII and believe we owe them compensation in the year 2010 for lost property. Jews give Poles a bad name. Ant-Polonism is in their blood. Pretty soon Germans will be innocent of starting WWII. I live in Toronto.

Nonsense. The only ones giving the Poles a bad name are the Poles themselves.

Sorry about that! I sometimes mistakenly assume that PF-ers have at least a working knowledge of Polish. Anyway, here's the gist of the message for our monoglots:

Polonian activists affiliated with POSK (Polish Socio-Cultural Centre in London) have met to discuss anti-Polish discrimination in the UK. The meeting was organised by Jan Niechwiadowicz who has actively fought for the past 5 years to eliminate anti-Polish stereotypes, historical misrepresentation (eg ‘Polish concentration camps’) and anti-Polish discrimination in the British media.
Anti-Polish slogans have been scrawled on walls and can be found in the press and online, including: ‘Save UK Jobs for UK People’ and ‘Save full-time British jobs and give the Polish agency work".

Mr Niechwiadowicz is appealing to Polonians not to remain indifferent towards such intolerance and discrimination and to join the Polish Media Issues Group, a group combating anti-Polonism through protests, petitions, letters to the editor and the like: pmi@supportpoland.org

Speak for yourself! It's not in my blood, never was, and never will be!

Anti-Semitic Poles give Poles a bad name.

And it was the Germans who stole my grandparent's house and shop, not anyone else, so if anyone should be paying compensation, it's the Germans. But most of us realise that this will never happen, so we just get on with life regardless. I don't hate Germans or Germany, btw - I just hate what a certain German regime did to us 70 years ago. Modern Germans aren't responsible, or to blame.

It's as ridiculous for modern Poles to hate Jews, as it would be for Scots to hate Pacific Islanders - where are all these Jews who Poles hate so much? I've been to Poland many times, and the only place I saw any obvious Jews was in Krakow - and the sum total was about 20. If Poles spent as much time on trying to improve their own country as they do on blaming "The Jew" or on going for "piwko z kumplami", then maybe the country wouldn't need EU funding!
