and yes, i do know that lots of poles were killed off by the nazis, but the poles back-stabbed their own friends and neighbours during the nazi times by giving them away to the SS squads, in some cases, for just a single bottle of wine!

You dont know shite my friend.

and for that reason everything youve said here today can be based on hate and hate alone, it would be thrown out in a court of law based on personal grievances.

So basically take a run and jump.

It is terrible what those young fellas said to you and your wife, no doubt there.

But I can't help but think, having read your posts, that you yourself have double standards:
ukonly:
to abuse someone, whoever he/she may be, white, black, green or brown, without provocation of any kind, is vile. and if it carries a connotation of race, then doubly so.

There are millions of Poles that did not provoke you, yet you are the one tarring them with the same brush:
ukonly:
well, in my own opinion, all you poles should go back where you belong, thats poland, not here in the uk.

i know not all poles are the sam -- there may well be good ones like in any race, but all the ones ive met, at work, in the streets, the shops here, are all without doubt, some of the worst humans around.

they are vile, obtuse, have no courtesy, are abrupt and basically are bereft of any manners we english are used to over here.

i sincerely believe, judging from what the polish did to the jews during the nazi times--poles just cannot be trusted, and why the uk let them into our country, i just do not know.

they have no manners per se, and are the dregs of human society and should be repatriated sooner rather than later, before they destroy the fabric of uk society.

well, i have been around polish people for some time, and you get to know the nuances and verbage they use.

Well UKonly I would bet that bottle of wine that your story is made up, you are not black and do not have a wife. Why would I say this? Nuances and verbage - sounds like an ex-english teacher to me...

Hahaha, is this directed at someone or have you noticed this is the way that all ex-English teachers go? ;)

There is some weird and wonderful on here, they go back to the UK with their tale between the legs, or because of a failed relationship and vendetta mode kicks in, it's so weird and then they wonder, why the girl dumped them or they lost the job - go figure.

The worst I have encountered are guys (why is it always guys?) that come over here from English speaking countries and think they are the business, the man, that they are better than others. But they don't have a pot to pee in to or a window to throw it out because they never amounted to much and after the novelty of the foreigner wears off, people realise that they are not worth it and the rest is as you say...

It is not only the people from English speaking countries, you get the Dutch,Germans and French. The best ones I have met here after the Poles are the Irish and the Scots at least they can laugh at themselves.

There was still no call for what they said to the guy. It's simply not on to start ganging up in numbers in a foreign country and shouting stuff like that. The OP just got unlucky. Many idiotic Poles went across and are not doing their nation proud but they exist unfortunately.

It's still on the go! :) Many chavish Poles went across early days in a kind of 'let me out of here' mad surge. Then more intellectual people saw chances for themselves. I can't see why people are attacking the OP. I'd be gutted too were some prejudiced folk to come across and criticise me for having red hair. There are enough morons amongst the locals already, we don't need more!

Do you get stares though?

A pole told me that it was a saying in Poland that if you see a red haired person you should pinch yourself - i.e. that you are probably dreaming!

Geez, I thought I was in Africa or China this last week. In the areas I walked through, there were more Africans than pure Scots, I kid you not. Aberdeen attracts those that want a sniff of the oil/gas profits.

I will continue on this thread later today but let's not let a good thread die.

I found the MC element to be a little too much. I mean, we have to accept what is to a certain extent but, judging in scale terms, there needs to be a cutback as immigrants are everywhere. I felt like I was in an experimental city where they had thrown all sorts together and told them to mingle. Gliwice is the other way, too one dimensional. Ah, the need for balance and a happy medium. Well, the desire anyway :)

As I thought, the UK (Scotland anyway) is a nasty mix of too many immigrants, snobs and junkies. I saw all these elements all too clearly. Junkies with their hands outstretched for change, snobs with their noses up and ignoring all around them and immigrants, well, generally being ubiquitous.

I really don't see much progress in any front in the UK. It's a stagnant cesspit which is a prime target for being further stripped of its assets.

Seriously, it's sad to see people so deluded that they think the UK is going to be some sort of mighty country that can provide them with a fantastic life full of opportunities.

The fact is: it's a country, like any other, full of it's own problems, and full of it's own people.

The foreigners you're seeing are likely to be visitors, UK is a big tourist destination, London being the biggest destination and port of call in the world thanks to it's business links and cultural history.

I'm glad you're going back to your own country because frankly your attitude is **** poor, you can't come here and expect everything to be handed out to you on a plate, especially in the middle of the worst recession we've experienced for decades, 'ugly' people are everywhere, and I'm very sure if I went around thinking "oh everyone is ugly here" in Poland, that's all I'd see.

It goes both ways, if you want to come here you've got to have an open mind, accept something and give something back otherwise you're going to go exactly the way you've gone.

He is English not Polish.

Doesn't matter at the end of the day, the message isn't race or origin specific.

His country, his own country is England.
It does have relevance to your comment.

I think that if you look for negative Polish views towards England, you will find most on these forums are not Polish and you will find many.

Statistically speaking with the amount of British/Polish relationships you'd think so, i just dont see it at ground level. I think most Poles left Poland for a reason and are in no hurry to return, and the Brits will never get around the employment problem, the choices remain teach English or start business, unless of course their financially dependent which is highly unlikely.

If Poland had decent work prospects then yeh but i dont see that happening for a long, long time.

Take this forum for example its still basically the same old same old members that have been here for years.

That's a bold statement - any examples?
