Here's a list of ten criminals from Europe who are being sought for extradition. About half of them are wanted by Poland:
The men are wanted for crimes including murder, rape, child sex offences, drug running and robbery.
Scotland Yard's extradition unit released their details after we found Butcher of Bulgaria Thomas Georgiev, 43, in South London last week

i always find the reader's comments interesting

here is a quote from a Sun reader called 'jeg'

'The Scum Of The Earth Know Just where come. The Soft Touch UK, The World's laughing stock.'

the reason that there are so many Poles on the list is that the Polish authorities seem to like handing out international arrest warrants
and because there are a lot of Poles in the UK in any case

The Lithuanians have a terrible rep. However not a single Lithuanian on the list. Probably because their government is pleased that they are no longer in Lithuania

Probably. I did hear from one copper that the biggest issue with Lithuanians is that many of them aren't ethnically Lithuanian, but rather Russian and (in some cases) Polish - so Lithuania has no real interest in getting them deported to Lithuania.

If that's true, it actually shows that Lithuanian authorities are very ethnocentric and don't treat all citizens equally. Although, I really doubt Lithuania's ethnic minorities are responsible for significant percentage of crimes committed by Lithuanian citizens ('Lithuanians').

This much we know. The situation of Russians in the Baltic states is a complicated one with some states imposing a language qualification. Nevertheless, the Russian mafia are a problem there.

I suspect the nature of the crimes differ.
