teflcat: This is absurd. Where have I discounted other people's experience. Please quote me.
teflcat: I find that very hard to believe. Where do these stats come from?In my experience driving in Poland is no more scary than driving in most other European countries. You responded to what I'd written first, not the other way around. and here:
teflcat: Even if you could find other research which suggests other figures, they are highly unlikely to place Poland in the top five most dangerous countries in the world. I was never defending the validity of such information, merely relating what I've read but it does read as though you were quick to dismiss it.
teflcat: It's not a big thread, so quote where I have Foreigner4: dismiss[ed] everyone else's anecdotal evidence or experience. Here you go again:
teflcat: I'd put Polish drivers at about average in Europe. That essentially discounts the op's opinion on the matter. It also most likely discounts a great deal of what you've heard about Polish driving habits as well. I don't know what you've got your feathers so ruffled about. I never addressed you nor did I take issue with what you'd written, I merely contributed to balancing the perspective. You think drivers here are average for Europe, some may have the same opinion as you and some don't. It doesn't matter what our opinions are but rather what facts might suggest. If you want to analyze how one set of information was gathered and the validity of the interpretation then fine, I'm all ears. *gives dead horse one last kick*
