Unfortunatelly, because of the crisis crunch there's a big possibility that they'll take him back to Turkey and then he would have to go straight to the army. We love each other a lot and we don't want to risk. Therefore we decided to marry before the worst happens.

One born every day. University didn't teach you much then.

Makes me laugh.. they are intelligent to target the eastern Europeans because they know they have no sense of national pride to the Main country UK, they need the money for marriage, and Brits have higher standards generally!

Do explain, hudson. What higher standards are these, exactly?

British women tend to marry a man who they genually have feelings for and is going to provide for them.. IE the typical family unit 2.4 children.

Polish women just want 10k

So why is the divorce rate higher in British countries than in Poland?

because in Poland many couples are able to live separate lives under the same roof. or they simply live apart.

I remember when I first moved to Poland with my ex. Me, her and her mum and dad lived in a 30m2 flat for 6months. Was easy enough and doable.

30m2 for 4 people, that's nuts!

Poles value endurance in a marriage more.

None of my relatives live in much more than 50m2; that's pretty average for Polish families. Maybe not for expats, though.

Most families in Nowa Huta don't have much of a choice, not everyone earns 8k a month.
