Polish wedding music/bands in the UK

Hi All,

My lovely Polish fiance and i are getting married a year on Friday in England. We would like to have a mixture of Polish and English traditions at the wedding. We are both keen on finding a typical Polish wedding band to do the music for both days of our wedding - does anyone know of any in the UK? If we can't manage to find a Polish band here we may see if a Polish band would travel to the UK (but the cost of this would be quite high i think).

Any ideas would be much appreciated please...

whereabouts in the UK are you based?

not being disrespectful I assure you but have you heard the typical 'muzyka do kotleta' that they play at Polish weddings?

thanks for your reply - we are based in Ipswich (50 minutes east of London). I have been to a selection of Polish weddings and know what to expect from a polish wedding band...

Have you tried the local Polish centre , there may be one in your town , or close by...They are bound to know of any Polish wedding bands that are around...?

it will be a lot easier to bring in a Polish band that can play lady in red on the bontempi organ than try and find an English band able to play Polish tunes
either try cruising round the catholic churches and Polish community centres in the area or bite the bullet and fly in a kotlet band to stansted and pick them up

Are you planning on flying them in to wherever you're at? Might want to post in the classifieds and include a bit of information the "where and when"...
