I think Poles in the UK are COOL PEOPLE

I'm not a liberal-lefty, pro-immigration blind muppet like you may expect, by the title.

In fact I'm the exact opposite... I've always been extremely anti non-EU immigration.

But for an unknown reason of, I guess... natural opinion, I've never had a problem with EU immigration.
I guess it's something to do with sharing some kind of European-Common-Ground with European people... especially Poles, as they're the most popular.

I'd like to say Poles are hard working... I do see lots of Poles working everywhere, but I also understand some of them can't find work, other don't want to work... they claim benefits...

Well I see non-EU immigrants getting huge houses for free to house their family of 15 children and claiming 100k per year in benefits, I don't see Polish people doing that, so I'm not going to complain about the Poles who fail to find work when there's a much bigger problem with a different immigrant community.

Besides the work thing... Poles are usually quiet, well mannered, they get on with life, they don't try to change the nation for what it is... only live in it and appreciate what they see as a better life... cool.

Attractive women, hard working men, they often speak in their native languages in public... which isn't very wise, if you're going to live here you should really adopt English as your first language for many positive reasons... but whatever.

So yeah, I stumbled upon this forum, and read a few anti-Polak threads, so thought I would stop by and give my opinion.

Oh and by the way, why do you guys even want to come here anyway? haha the UK has gone to ****!! I'm British, English born and bred, soon I'm hoping to escape the UK and the dump it has become, to live somewhere cool like Sweden, Norway.. Germany/France/Spain etc etc.

So what exactly, in your opinion, made UK "into a dump it has become" ? And what do you mean by that?

He writes in appallingly poor English so I doubt he's articulate enough to express what he means.

Well there's plenty of reasons... from the nominal GDP ranking falling every year (now officially ranked 7th, behind Brazil)... to the English people becoming a minority in their own capital.

Extreme unemployment statistics.

Standards of living have dramatically fell in world rankings,
Britain is currently ranked 26th in the best nations to be born on earth, 20 years ago it was top 10.

There were times when Britain was the richest and most powerful nation on earth, and to look at where we are now in comparison to then... damn right we've become a dump.

He writes in appallingly poor English so I doubt he's articulate enough to express what he means.

There's nothing wrong with my English.
I am English.

I'm sorry if you were expecting a scripture of perfected, shakespeare-esque literature of Polish appraisal enriched with the finest of grammar and spectacular punctuation.

But this is an internet forum, I'm not exactly writing a letter to the queen right now.

Well it isn't falling, it's just that the rest of the pack is advancing by leaps and bounds:

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_countries_by_past_and_future_GDP_(nominal)#IMF_estimates_between_2000_and_2009

There were times when Britain was the richest and most powerful nation on earth, and to look at where we are now in comparison to then... damn right we've become a dump.

Ah, the good old colonial times...At least Australia is doing something right. And they do have plenty of immigrants, don't they?

So it must be something else. Hey, let's ask them: any Australian out here? Can someone explain what exactly is going on Down Under?

...Well, things may be not as good as they used to, but Britain is still better place to live in than Poland :):....

27 and 33 - it is not so far from each other. Especially comparing strong imperial colonial ( for years) country and country which was drained and squeezed by Russia for years....

It looks that in a few years this ranking can look quite different.

Can you imagine how dull and boring Britain would be if there were no other nationalities living here? Come on guys, let's all get along.

Czy można sobie wyobrazić, jak nudne i nudne Britain byłoby, gdyby nie było innych narodowości mieszkających tutaj? No chłopaki, niech wszyscy się dogadać.

Beheadings, muslim rape gangs, no go areas for the natives, hala l butchers everywhere.......

Sounds great alright. The UKs population is set to increase by 15-20 million in the next few decades. Where are you going to house all these people? Rip up the countryside?

The best thing about living on these isles is the natural beauty, forests, lakes and countryside areas. The British population is going to continue to dramatically increase by tens of millions over the coming years. Unfortunately, the land wont expand. Their major cities that pull in most migrants are stretched to breaking point as is - they are going to have to choose - continued immigration and population growth, or save our green belt.

They wont be able to continue to have both.

Sweden or Norway, fine. Spain, mostly, okay, but in Germany or France I think that you will find many foreigners too, just like in London. Particularly France, and a lot of Muslim areas, so if that tends to bother you, I suggest staying away from there.

As for your question. It is quite simple. Many people move there to work. Some want to stay, but some just want to earn some money, then return home eventually. They do not see England as their country, so they don't care if it is flooded with foreigners, since they see it as a foreign land that they are only temporarily in anyway.

Wielki: "muslim areas" in France? Being of let's say North African origin does NOT necessarily mean .... muslim (Arabs can also be christians or jews) and with respect to France, most of those are non practising (some are even atheist like the majority of the French).

I did not say a word about Africa or French Arabs. France does have Muslim areas.
