it depends on where you are coming from.

stop Polish people moving in Glasgow in their droves. What is more with the internet, cheap phone calls etc they knew what they were letting themselves in for

Was she drunk, might of been the medication she is on? We don't see what happened before the filming started, she might of had a reason to kick off. Although she should of kept her mouth shut, she is right, post war immigration has changed most UK towns and cities but not in a good way.

I find this whole thread comical. Particularly for the fact that the English, Irish and Scottish immigrated in droves to North America. When my relatives on my dads side immigrated to Canada they were the lowest of the low. The dirty Irish. They were lucky though, they added the letter A to my last name-instantly Scottish.
There is nothing wrong with immigration- the problem is that those who immigrate do not assimilate. The move to the Irish,Pakistani, Polish,Indian, Jewish, Chinese, etc etc ghetto. They don't need to learn the language, they get everything they need from their homeland at the local Irish, Pakistani, Polish, Jewish store....and then they send money home which does nothing for the economy of their host country.

How much do you know about American history? Immigrants still came but a lot less then before, Immigration act of 1924 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Immigration_Act_of_1924 which didn't change until 1952, and "the quotas remained in place with minor alterations until the Immigration and Nationality Act of 1965" !!!! Immigration from 1924 onwards for example from Italy fell by 90%, Immigration from Great Britain and Ireland fell 19% (Catholic Irish and Scots). "So restrictive were the new quotas for immigration from Southern and Eastern Europe, that in 1924 more Italians, Czechs, Yugoslavs, Greeks, Lithuanians, Hungarians, Poles, Portuguese, Romanians, Spaniards, Chinese, and Japanese left the U.S. than arrived as immigrants".

Only those with documents to prove that their Irish and that its their ethnic homeland should be allowed back.

There would be a lot of people going in the opposite direction too.
