Wedding with a Polish girl. I need to see the magistrate?

Hi, I am getting married in a registry office in May, I am English, I have had my Birth certificate translated, I have also got a CoNI which will translated when I fly to Poland oon Monday, and see the magistrate on Tuesday, I have just read this has now changed is it true ? as this weekend will be my last trip to Poland until I get married in May ! I have got 80 guests, so cant have problems now !

that a Local council English Certificate of Non Impediment is now not recognised in Poland, and that I have now got to go through the British Embassy in Warsaw !

It wasn't long ago that the reverse was true - for a while they wouldn't accept embassy ones. You need to contact the consular section of the embassy. Phone them rather than email (or you'll be waiting until Christmas for a reply) and find out the latest situation. They are used to the requirements changing.

Let us know what they say - it could be useful for somebody.
