There is a debate featuring several 3rd party candidates and perhaps some others this Wednesday at the Univ. of Chicago (5807 S. Woodlawn) and Mr. Andrzejewski will be present.

Might be interesting to attend.

Zimmy, you know what the problem is? People that think he can't win, but if you were volunteering hardcore like I am, you would know how well he's doing in many parts of this state. Since there are now 6 candidates in the race, the other 5 will be bashing each other for DuPage county, but if Adam gets a good Polish turnout in Cook County, than he certainly can win February 2nd. Also, he has widespread support in all of rural Illinois. The National Tea Party Organization backs him and are on Fox News promoting him. We've had leaders of that Organization call our campaign on his behalf. This next week can make a huge difference because at least 40% of voters are undecided at this point. We spread the message, it works, and we can make grassroots history here in Illinois. I hope you go see him speak. Thank you.

What an awesome ad the campaign has just launched! Since I don't want to be told not to spam the forum, go to YouTube and type in... There's a tax for that... And it should be the first video. What a true ad targeting the business-as-usual politicians. And the National Tea Party organization is backing Adam. This is exactly what Scott Brown endured in Massachusetts, and we can do this in Illinois! Get out the vote Feb. 2nd! Thanks.

Actually "The Other" I did not deny such an endorsement. If you read the story, it was officially announced today. A week ago, all I knew was that he was attending a fundraiser for Adam. I am a men of integrity, because I will be going into the service, and I hold core values. I will never lie on this post, in fact, I will update everyone on news that comes up.

Amen! The reason the National Tea Party movement is backing Adam is due to his grassroots campaign as well as his campaigning against business-as-usual politicians and corruption overall. Now I am not here to bash the Serbian Blagojevich because we already know about his corruption but that article I just posted describes how Walesa's visit can be huge to not only the Polish population but to the Eastern Europeans. With electing Adam February 2nd, we can move forward to bring back the Land of Lincoln! Thank you.

And if you hadn't noticed, Scrappy, Scotland doesn't use God Save the Queen as its national anthem as some parts are not exactly complimentary towards us. Yes, we have Unionists (Glasgow Rangers supporters mainly) but conduct a poll of all Scots on their perception of the Queen and I think you'd find that the majority wouldn't associate their country with her. Just a thought!

As for Wałęsa, I agree. I think many have misconceptions about him but I'm not going to presuppose that delph hasn't read up on him. Besides, numerous sources are rabble rousers that go out of their way to put him down. Sure, he may have skeletons in his closet but we should remember him for his good work.

Thank you for your input. If you're asking if Adam Andrzejewski speaks English, of course he does! He's fluent but I told him he must learn Polish! But his dad speaks fluent Polish and he's been on Polish radio promoting Adam's candidacy. I urge everyone to become a part of this grassroots movement because Adam's ideas are much needed in the Illinois Governor's office. The National Tea Party is backing him and we have volunteers all across the state mobilizing on behalf of Adam. The other five candidates, the business-as-usual politicians, do not care about rural Illinoians. I've talked to people in Central and Southern Illinois who said they are tired of Chicago politicians. Well, Adam is definitely not one, and is the only true outsider in this race.

I was kidding, he will naturally speak English. I hope he shakes things up as I've heard bad things about politics in Chicago. Just ask Sledz, he has lived there for a long time and knows the tricks of those like Obama, for example. Unfortunately, the climate of breeding such politicians is well under way and it sometimes needs major blunders to oust them. Even then, look at George WhoopsyIdiditagain Bush, that man blundered more than a tourist in a Cambodian brothel or beginner in a chess match.

A fresh new infusion of ideas would be just the job in many parts of the world so good luck to the man :)

What are his views on law enforcement? It sounded, based on past episodes, that Chicago needs to get tougher on crime. Poland clamps down well and has much stronger police than, say, the UK. Maybe his Polish blood is what is needed.

I ask you to visit his website: adamforillinois.com Unfortunately, I have followed all debates and they didn't talk much about crime policies, BUT, for gun rights, Adam does support concealed carry. Illinois and one other state do not have any form of concealed carry, even if it's in just one county or the entire state. Historic data shows that cities which adopted some gun law reduced many crimes, especially violent crimes. The Kennesaw, Georgia data is a great example. The business-as-usual politicians in this race do not support our 2nd Amendent Rights, which is a shame that any Republicans would support such candidates. They all have also supported tax increases. Any other questions on his stance on law enforcement? I'll try to answer in the best way.

Most Europeans are not for guns but, when you have introduced them, it's very hard to go back on that decision as it becomes ingrained in the culture. Guns are an effective deterrent. If you know that sb has one then you are less likely to attempt burglary, thus reducing break-in crimes. Also, the law has to reflect this social reality. Obviously, not everyone in America is a hunter or clay pigeon shooter so you do have to question why people have those guns. Accepting it as part of the culture means that you lay it open to abuse. What is the point if not a deterrent? For decoration? ;) ;) Like nukes on the international stage, guns are bargaining chips and bring some kind of power. Poles prefer to keep big dogs to ward off unwanted guests.

Wow, thanks for sharing that information about Europeans views on guns in general. Even a law that would require every household to have a gun, not by choice, would be effective because burglars would know they have a gun in the house. If almost every U.S. state has some sort of gun law, than so should Illinois. Overall, the corruption here is just plain sick and we are in dire need of a new direction.

The problem is when the unwanted guests come with guns, as is the case in the US (criminals) and in countries where the government cracks down on its citizens (I won't even mention Germany, Cuba, Venezuela, Soviet Union, Turkmenistan, Iran..., I'll just stick with Indonesia under Suharto).

I have commented on guns on many threads. Good or bad, the reality is that they are prevalent in America and they must accept the rough with the smooth if they so vehemently defend their 2nd Amendment rights. Those that allowed for the possession of guns must have envisaged that people would use them.

Housing prices need to come down to pre 2000 levels. Interest rates need to go back up. Why is the US treasury backing anything at all? Programs like FDIC causes consumers to not care about where their money is, and thus leave banks unaccountable for their investments. There is a serious issue here with responsibility....

That's not entirely true. Small banks all over the country go down the drain at the moment, so consumers deposit their assets in the bigger banks. Is your money safe there? Maybe safer than in a small bank, but completely safe - no. Even big players like the Bank of America are still in danger to go bankrupt, and the FDIC just gives me peace of mind, that's all.
