"Furtive movements" A few years ago she would have been shot to death. I'll admit some police are over-zelous to use a tazer, but the truth is that they have saved countless lives. The officers primary directive is to go home to their families alive after each shift.

You should join the force and change the world. or at least be able to empathize with the people who try and protect your sorry butt.

The U.S is in a sad state when causing extreme amounts of pain are the only alternative to outright blasting holes in people. If someone can really be shot over a minor driving offence, then the system is broken.

I just said, pulling guns on someone in a minor driving offence issue is a disproportionate reaction. That's too much power, even for the police.

I appreciate that fact, and I take it into consideration, but it seems like with such a huge population more care should be taken with police work, since there's more room for misconduct. I think of when the British police shot a Brazillian guy by accident in the London underground, and then imagine how that situation has the potential to occur every day in the U.S with such relaxed gun usages.

Although it's a valid topic, I don't think we should use online sources indicate a supposed trend... after all, what will you get if you search "Police officer DOESN'T taze someone unnecessarily, handles situation well" in YouTube?

American way is the best one. 20% of police budget goes to 1 such victim. Then they would cut their salaries or sack 20% of cops. Simple.

Its tax money silly!

I'm quite serious. If you don't have a solution then you are just whining. Please present your alternatives.

Yep.. Yep.. then you have a lot of time on your hands, which "employed" people generally do not have. Hundreds divided by millions doesn't prove that much statistically anyway. Also, the mere fact you can view these videos on the internet proves the freedom of the US. However, these are isolated incidents. 99.9% of the time.. cop asks you a question, tells you to do something.. just do it.. there's no problems whatsoever. Its simple. This was made known to me as a child again and again and again. Guess how many times I've been arrested? How about 0.

The US is made of states.. little countries .. themselves with their own laws. Some states have more stict laws with others the police some are more relaxed. You can not make a basic general statement about the matter. I always laugh at how little some Europeans know about the US.

Absolutely not. Police have no right to tell anyone what to do, unless they provide a valid reason for it and outline how it falls within their jurisdiction to do so. They're not demi-gods, they're upholders of the law. They have a job to do just like everyone else. If they somehow have the right to tell others what to do solely based on their job title, then that's dangerous, and contradicts the rights of freedom that every U.S citizen is supposed to have.

Found that a Pole was killed as a result of tasers, in Canada however: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Robert_Dzieka%C5%84ski_Taser_incident

yep, yep, yep I always laugh when mentally disabled people mix wrong data:
Pinching Pete:
Hundreds divided by millions

if in US is at least 2 millions policeman (you said millions) then it's not democratic country anymore but a police state.

They have every right to tell someone what to do if they're upholding the law. This is their job. Do they overstep "probable cause" sometimes, sure.. it's a huge country. Don't you think Russian, Brazilian.. anybody do it. Cops all over do this. How assanine to think otherwise.

The videos were provided by the police. They serve three purposes. 1. To protect the police from false claims, 2. To ensure that police behave in a professional and legal manner. 3. evidence of your behavior while the officers were interacting with you.

Two things you need to do:

Learn what your real rights and responsibilities are, not just what you and your homies think they should be while your sitting in moms basement hittin the bong.

Learn how to interact with law enforcement. Court is for arguing your case. Arguing and being belligerent with the officer works against you every time. If you show contempt to the people who enforce laws for the rest of us, you should expect no less in return.

Finally, If you are doing something you shouldn't be and get busted, Don't be a little ***** about it. Man-up and take your punishment.

You must think you're trolling amateurs here. Videos without context or background. Do us a favor my chav friend, Don't come to the states, and if you do please mind your manners because the police carry tazers and the population carries guns. Being polite will not only ensure your visit is pleasant but probably save your life.
