I just said, pulling guns on someone in a minor driving offence issue is a disproportionate reaction. That's too much power, even for the police.

you'd be surprised how many times an officer has been injured or killed after confronting someone for an offense even less than that.

stupid thread. class "A" troll.

btw, just watched your last youtube link, just for the hell of it.

couple of things:

what normal person, when being pulled over late at night by the police, SLAMS on their breaks so hard that they leave skid marks accross the road and then suddenly jolts the steering wheel to the right cutting accross 3 lanes? if i had to approach a car after seeing that, you can bet your ass i'd want to be holding a taser.

secondly, i'd like to find out the real story behind this driver....meaning what did they find out about the guy when it was all over?

The U.S is in a sad state when causing extreme amounts of pain are the only alternative to outright blasting holes in people. If someone can really be shot over a minor driving offence, then the system is broken.

Good, then don't come over here illegally

America sucks. This is always a good video to show you just how law "enforcement" likes to bully innocent citizens. Too bad that the media who shot this footage edited it so that you cannot see the goon tackle the poor woman.

Most days I hope that osama bin laden would finish the job he started here in America on 9-11. Its unfortunate that the twin towers were taken down and not the white house and pentagon as thats where most of the criminals are.

In order to wage war and the profiteers make a profit a significant action needed to be undertaken, the site chosen was the twin towers. It was a decision made within the circles that did not include Osama Bin Laden, this scape goat was merely exactly that. Osmama Bin Laden and the terrorist regime was a theoretical enemy devised by the powers that be in order to wage war and profit.

Whats the issue? its that Bin Laden gizza gov, hes responsible for everything, ohh yeh Bin Laden of course i almost forgot.......

The only screwballs are the people who allow themselves to be a zombie, a product of mainstream media which is controlled by the government. The US federal government has the most screwballs of any organization on the planet. Nothing more than organized crime, a whole lot of people who participate in it because they get paid to do so. Cowards.

WB, that may be the case but I still hope that there is a country or organization out there that is strong enough to take down the US federal government. It needs to be done, they are getting too big and too powerful and they are not using their power to help anyone but their own sick agenda.

In Philly we've had 3 Polish American cops gunned down not too long ago officers Pawlowski, Lidzbinski and Gorski.

better in what way?

one comparison i can make between here and there is the level of respect shown towards policemen. in the states, anyone in a uniform is given respect but in poland people don't think much of their police force. a lot of policemen in the USA don't earn much at all but are still out there fighting crime day in, day out and they are given a lot of respect for it.

That's a cultural difference that I find odd.

Yessir, Nosir, officer etc. I don't think there is anything wrong with it but for me it's just way too much automatic deference. I think respect should be earned - simply wearing a badge and carrying a gun does not do it.

On the trolling/provocative thread? I have not been too impressed with the Polish police during my short visits. I saw an elderly drunk being pretty excessively manhandled by four cops on a street in daylight - he wasn't doing anyhting that I could see, just being drunk and sitting there. There could have been a previous disturbance that I didn't see I guess but the guy couldn't even stand.

On another occasion, I saw a busker that I had been talking to 10 minutes previously being casually kicked by a few cops. Again, in broad daylight on a busy street. He was utterly harmless and a really nice guy.

You all complain about American force but you can always count on them for help, unlike in Poland where they just shrug their shoulders and could care less what happens to you. In America you have to respect the law, something Poles don't get.
And you Ender, the one who started this thread, you complain about your brother-in-law being deported back to Mexico. So what's your problem, you should be happy he's not in America anymore.

In Poland policing has changed, during communist times the Milicja as it was called had alot of respect, a cop could have just suspected you of doing something wrong and beat you to the ground, you needed a dozen wittinesses to have a case against him. People feared the police in a way it was good. Now cops are laughed at.

It's probably a lot to do with the fact that upholding the law in a fair and just way is a mark of pride for Americans, whereas in Poland, joining the police is a step above private security work, nothing else.

I've read a lot about how rural police officers in general do a great job on very limited resources.

which is where the yessir, nosir comes from.

most law enforcement officers in america take a lot of pride in their jobs and earn the respect to be referred to as sir/mam because chances are, shortly before they were speaking with you, they saved someone's ass on the street or in someone's house or at the corner deli or just kicked down the door of a meth lab. trust me, they earn "sir" and "mam" without a doubt....but i gotta say, in the states, i use "sir" quite a bit, regardless if it's a man in uniform or not. "mam" not so much, most women hate it, makes them feel like an old hag.
