get a hold of one of these importers to see where they supply:

http://www.stawskidistributing.com/beer.html - OK beer
heineken owns zywiec so find who imports them and do find out where they distribute it

no idea who imports tyskie but you can find out if you do a bit of searching on the internets.

Lech Pils is very good, but it's only available in Wielkopolska.

Incidentally, you do know that "imports" are very often brewed locally in Europe? Just because it pretends to be an import doesn't necessarily make it one. And the difference in taste can be astronomical - anyone who's tasted UK Stella Artois or San Miguel and then tried the "home" version will understand what I mean.

Unless something has changed, Heineken is a great example in Poland of this - it's sold as a premium product, it pretends to be imported - but nope, it's actually produced in Poland by Grupa Zywiec.

Carlsberg as well for that matter.

It's actually very difficult to get something that was genuinely imported into Poland in an ordinary pub.

And what is imported is usually sold for a small fortune, though things are starting to move in the right direction at last. I actually recommend checking out the beers in Kuchnia Swiata - they were selling Ukranian Obolon for 5zl a bottle, which is a decent price for a decent beer.

Isn't the sugar used completely different to North America?

Sprite in particular tastes awful in Poland, and I can't figure out why for the life of me.

Yep, its a fact

It's a shame but these products taste completely different in different locations around the world.

Coke-Cola products are awful in PL, but Pepsi products are OK!

I never buy coke here!

You're forgetting that cane sugar is the standard in South America, plus Asia and Africa. Beet sugar is primarily confined to Europe (and mostly eastern Europe) and the US.

Oh, yeah, and the US is the third-largest producer of sugar beets.

The sugar isn't different since it's just sucrose and glucose. The sugar that comes from beets and the sugar that comes from canes tastes the same.

That's it. Due to the massive subsidies paid to US corn farmers, just about everything has corn in it.

south america uses cane sugar i would guess, ive never had a real coke but its on my bucketlist, not with mexican water though, corn syrup kills, its in everything; corn crops suck up every nutrient and mineral out of the field like a sponge leaving the soil dry, but i dont really know so.

anyone know any good wheat beers, i cant stay on topic sorry.

definitely not.. that's the difference in taste in sodas in the usa and everywhere else.

again, not so on the corn.. it's the beans that suck up every nutrient in the soil thus crop rotation is necessary

there are many wheat beers on the market.. hacker pschorr may be some of the best but all the german ones are darn good too.. i;d stay away from any of the wanna be's made in the usa tho.
