But we have someone there who can find us a legal job, the problem is: are we sure to enter or can we be refused?

when you apply for an American visa in Poland you are supposed to have an interview with the consulate official who will decide whether to give you a visa - and many people are refused visa in Poland (if there is suspicion enough on the part of the official that you are going to overstay your visa and work illegally) - there are fees included in the application process - as a permanent resident of Italy I don't really know how and where you should apply (go to an American consulate where you live and ask them) - in your case a tourist visa would be granted easily if you reached the interview stage I guess because you are supposed to return to Italy to continue your study and you live in Italy which has a much higher income per capita than Poland

valid enough, but you have to consider who benefits more from the exchange, or at least, who thinks they are benefiting more.

yes indeed, well put. Many polish politicians understandebly are still in the cold war mindset and view america as their benelovent saviour. In fact this is spread across the whole population, american culture is revered, there are queues to get into pizza hut. etc

Revered?

Hardly.

Are there? Can't say I've ever seen a queue here. Maybe you're mixing up Poland of 2011 with Poland of 1991?

you can't be serious. name another culture in this world that is emulated, copied, mimicked, more widespread or imitated more than American culture. look no further than Poland.

"Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery."

yes. there are. Just like McDonald's, Burger King, KFC.......I've personally waited several times on line in Wroclaw for a table at Pizza Hut which, by the way, sucks in Poland.

If somebody is continuously posting here each time stressing that the USA is more attractive country than Poland in many ways I would say that such a poster is an complexes plagued individual!

As long as people keep posting on here that the average salary in Poland is 12,000zl per month and that Poland would be just fine without EU cash and that Polish food really IS great for weight loss and that all of Polonia is made up of traitors and that Polish weather is ta' die faw' and that Polish really isn't difficult, all languages are just as hard as any other! and most of all, as long as people who don't know their a$$ from a hole in the ground keep posting rubbish about the USA even though they've never even set foot in the damn country then yes....you will continue to hear from me and if it makes the USA appear more attractive than Poland in the process, well, so be it.

FUZZYWICKETS:

Yes, a good government and the EU could be asking for Poland's contribution to maintain Euro in vain, now Poland will pay but without say, yes I think Poland would do fine without the EU.
FUZZYWICKETS:
Polish food really IS great for weight loss

Eh? Who claimed that ? Polish food use to be better than industrial mass produced food in others countries. Not any longer me thinks.

FUZZYWICKETS:
all of Polonia is made up of traitors

A Courtesy of resident British trolls in here - you should know that.
FUZZYWICKETS:
that Polish weather is ta' die faw'

Winters are hard but overtly Poland weather is as not bad as for the Northern European country !
FUZZYWICKETS:
that Polish really isn't difficult,

All languages are difficult until you master them and then they are easy.
FUZZYWICKETS:
s long as people who don't know their a$$ from a hole in the ground keep posting rubbish

that is an offensive and subjective opinion - you simply are being your usual self - a presumptuous prick with an axe to grind !
FUZZYWICKETS:

Are you talking to me ? :D I don't care what you think fuzz - truly - you are the one with complexes.

You've mistaken me , I think that it is hilarious what you are doing.
I think that the fact the USA is more attractive than Poland in many ways is obvious. You are just a Fool for proving the obvious.

HAHAHA. Of course.

What for? Because I think it would help us avoid further pointless discussions, if I must spell it out for you. That, and I don't believe you (I double dog dare ya'!)

Our discussions are pointless because you do not listen. You have taken personally my critique of the USA government policy - a state uni graduate eh?
FUZZYWICKETS:

That I guessed - hence no answer.
You are not interested in what I have to say. You are only after = prove !

To begin with I’m not trying to defend either Polish citizens or Americans on this issue. Both sides have their reasons in this argument. In my opinion – yes Polish people do very often overstay on their tourist visa that’s why American government is just very careful with the waiver visa for Poles decision – I totally understand it. On the other hand I think something has to be done! Most of Poles would like to be able, in a more civilized way, to visit America as any other EU members. Maybe some kind of trial period should be introduced or different way of visa application process that would make it easier for decent Polish people to visit America. I’m sure that there are ways to push this matter forward; unfortunately I don’t think there is enough willingness from the American side to do so.
Another thing that I find quite ironical is that if you go back in the history just over two hundred years, my dear American friends your ancestors – from all over the Europe, Poland included came to this country to look for better future, ignoring the fact that you weren’t first here, and that the land actually belong to locals at the time -Indian people, if we are looking in this “ belong” categories.... ! Of course you could all share and live happy lives along side with each other – well but we all know the history and how it has ended. I’m going to go feather and remind you about African slaves that some of your ancestors brought here to “help them” build this “ great “ country and then treated them like some kind of waste material that you have to get rid of.... Anyway notice that I said some, not all, as we all know lots of very brave people actually died to fight for freedom of this great people, that played a big role in creating America as it is today. Well the point is, and a lot of people seem to forget that America, as we know it today is built on emigrants! And if we go back in history even feather most of the countries are. Hopefully one day we will all realise that we shouldn’t look for differences and who is better and who is worst etc , but how we can share and help each other to built a wonderful home for all of us on our little but such a beautiful planet Earth.
I could go on and on but I don’t want to put you into sleep, although I might already....
Wish you all the best my Polish and American friends :)
Peace and Love
