Senate approves $600 million in border security funds. http://m.cnn.com/primary/_7UUp2t-ie7K4iE2iG It's not enough but hopefully Arizona will keep pushing the federal government in the right, or correct direction.

True, as long as someone pays their health insurance and none of those "workers" is pregnant, enough of anchor babies already. Or we could hire the Mexican border guards who're guarding the Mexico - Guatemala border - NO ONE would sneak through with them in charge. We should use the same methods Mexico uses on their own southern border.

definitely some more personnel... did you read the article? the'll be buying a bunch of techy toys too.. 600M isn't really that much in the scheme of things.

No, it should go to those states too. I was simply saying that had it not been for Arizona the federal government would've kept stalling as they've for decades - under both parties. Arizona embarrassed the federal government and I like that, should've happened long time ago.

However, realistically $600M is a joke. Let's see, our border with mexico is about 1970 miles so assuming my math is correct we're talking $300K per mile? Then we got salaries, equipment, new personnel, etc., etc. Yeah, it'll be enough for a few weeks or so. However, I'm giving Obama credit for doing something ...THANKS to Arizona's stance.

that's not the case.. bush did dump a bunch of money at the border too.. and this congress and prez were going to do the same even without AZ' illegal law.
