I have second cousins in Suwałki who want to visit me, what is the procedure for getting a visa? Do I have to invite them? Do they have to get a passport first? Does anyone know the proper steps?

They will def need a Passport + they will need to apply for a Visa. They are quite difficult for Polish to obtain due to people not returning to Poland once they get in to America. They must prove that it is only a visit and will need all of your details, address, etc.

Showing some written proof of property (house, business etc. in Poland will help for sure.

Yes, but what is the procedure? First obtain a passport, and then how does one apply in Poland for the visa? Do I need to send zaproszenie?
