he was saying how obama is taking us into WWIII I just listened,, I am not sure on any of these candidates I need more time

As to the president, it will be interesting to hear his oil policy and what he intends to do about rising gas prices in the U.S. He has already spent about $250 billion on so-called green energy without one cent of benefit to the economy. Yet, he has given $2 billion to Brazil to help their oil business (?).

Gas prices in the U.S. have doubled since January 20, 2009, that's when Obama took office. That is not a normal cyclical pattern and it is attributable to Obama's anti oil policies.

He is doing his best to enlarge government intervention into every facet of American life which keeps the economy from growing normally.

Why should the U.S. follow the European or any other model when it comes to oil prices? If other countries have tax policies which needlessly hike the price of gas then that is their problem. If I pay $1 for a bar of candy and someone in France pays $2 for the same candy then that is their business. Why should the lowest common denominator be anyone's standard? You may be right but that only shows how typical the defeatist attitude has taken hold of people like you. As I've stated, why bow to a lowest common denominator? Why not look to market solutions which enhance the human condition instead of lowering it?

As to fossil fuels, I've tried to do the math as to why there is so much of it and it just doesn't add up. I've added up the rates of oil use and it just doesn't seem like there should be that much fossil fuel.

It's hard to believe that so many living organisms have died and created such a vast amount of oil. It would take several earth life-times to create all those oil deposits which run into the many trillions of gallons. Here is another explanation. From the above link:

It may very well be that oil supply is almost endless. Of course if this was known and accepted by the general public then gas prices would plummet. Hmmmm.

Aside from the established fact that far more and better sources than this blog you cite are convinced the opposite is true as well as declared oil reserves and the difficulties involved with exploiting marginal sources the key issue is the damage from fossil fuel emissions to the environment. You can no doubt find a sceptic, as no doubt you can find a flat-earther, creationist or AIDS-denier, however they are fortunately in the underwhelming minority.

You seemed to have ignored specific information in my post just above your generalized reply. I'm sure you can explain how oil is found in areas that have had no fossil matter such as the Archeozoic rock formations (among others). How about the many capped wells that miraculously regenerated oil when they were thought dry? Many scientists are now questioning the alleged fossil fuel origins of oil and they include international scientists from Russia, Sweden, and Canada among others.


Perhaps todays flat-earthers are the ones who believe in fossil fuels and dare not venture into "politically incorrect" territory? After all, scare tactics are the prime movers of invested parties and like the global warming frauds, will be found to be wrong.
If you google or yahoo this, you might be surprised at how many scientists are speaking up on this subject. Of course the oil companies don't want to hear it. Surprisingly, in this area, you are on their side.lol

Very simple. America along with Canada have large deposits of oil.There would be no need to import from anywhere else.. But due to greed, corruption, and politics these oil supplies are being denied to the American public. A lot of our oil is being shipped to China.

You'd need several thousands earths to create all that oil from "small marine life". It doesn't add up. There is just way too much of it. We use immense amounts of oil to energize almost everything we do. We use it in manufacturing, in machines, transportation and even lubing up your dry hair. Only water is more important.


So "small marine life" crushed under heat and pressure created the oceans of oil 30,000 feet underground? Sorry, but no dice. Besides, what was marine life doing so far underground? Furthermore, are you aware of how much decomposed marine life is necessary to create just one coffee cup of oil?

As to pixie dust, it would seem that given the factors mentioned above, it is you who believes in magic. Our oil comes from magma deep in the earth and fissures bring it up, sometimes all the way to the surface. That's why previously dry wells have been resupplied and that's why oil has been found in ancient rock formations which have no history of living creatures including vegetation ever residing there.

One philosophical point; All of us are sometimes shocked to find that what we held as an obvious lifelong truth - really isn't . We've all experienced this. Understanding that oil is abiotic and not decomposed living matter will set you free.

YES. Oil would be a lot cheaper for Americans,and we would not be involved in the Middle East and their stinking oil.Oil shipped to China could be used against the US ,the same as scrap iron sent to Japan prior to WW2,was sent back in the form of bombs,and other war material.

OH! I am sure that there would be some problems.. But nothing that the US could not overcome.
Ask yourself this question. Where Is China getting all of its military secrets from.? They are stealing it from the US.
