But we're back and better than ever! Join us on September 16, 17 and 18 for the Roncesvalles Polish Festival, which we call “North America's largest celebration of Polish culture in Toronto’s best neighbourhood.”

Torontos infrastructure is horrible. It really needs a redoing. As far as this event goes, I am not sure (I have been living in Mississuaga for 10 years now).

Is it really North Americas largest Polish celebration? I would think that Chicago (Warsaw Jr) would have something larger.

Maybe Northern North Americas largest Polish celebration. I kind of doubted that claim as well.

Piknik!
Ignacy Jan Paderewski Park

Toronto’s Post 114 of the Polish Army Veterans’ Association of America purchased the park in 1967. The park has a 160-person heated hall that houses a fully-equipped kitchen, a bar, etc. Paderewski Park is available for rent on weekends from spring until fall. Paderewski Park often hosts picnics for the Polish communities in Toronto, Mississauga and Brampton.

Location: 9700 Hwy 27, 5 km north of Hwy 7 in Vaughan, Ontario

Never been.

There is a contact number on the site - maybe give them a call?

Thank you for the info Shawn. But how come you've never been there before, and you know a lot about it? Just wondering.

I have driven past it on occasion. Google is your friend.

The city of Toronto's estimate of attendance at this Festival is over 200,000 persons. I think that ranks it as one of the largest in US/Canada. With the newly reconstructed street, this year's promises to be the best ever.

Isn't Milwaukee's Polish Fest North America's largest such Polonian fête?

I think Milwaukee is the largest in the US and I know Roncesvalles is the largest in Canada.
Which is the largest overall?
It depends on how you count the people and really, both are great places to visit.

I have checked the Polish Consulates' website and it says the festival was cancelled for 2010 because of roadwork. They are saying that they hope it will be completed in time that the festival this yr will happen. If you doubt this, then check the Consulates' website for verification.
I know what they mean about the roadwork. I have seen it off and on since it started and they cancelled it last year partly in due to prevent any incidents caused because of the roadwork.

Good news. The Polish festival at Roncesvalles is on for this year.

Is there such a thing as a Polish Day piknik anywhere in Ontario?
