Polish Magazines in Canada

Dzien dobry,

Long story short, I'm trying to find a Polish magazine that I can get a subscription for and give to my girlfriend.

We're both students, living in Ottawa, Canada, if that helps give an idea of what might be of interest to her. I am looking for some sort of general interest magazine. Not necessarily celebrity news, but that would work.

She's just looking for something to read on a regular basis to keep up with her Polish, and I thought it would make for a neat Christmas gift.

Thanks so much for the help!

Not exactly what you were after but there are a few Polish News websites that are easy to track down.

doesn't the Polish shop Baltyk on Carling and Sherwood carry Polish magazines?

Really? I wasn't even aware that there was a Polish shop here - I just moved for school in September, though she's been here for a few years.

That would work well...I'll just have to manage to sneak out of the house at some point, pick one up, and sign her up for a subscription to something cool.

Much appreciated!

There is a Polish bookstore on Rideau St. You could call there. I have been to the Baltyk on Sherwood and they had them- perhaps the ladies behind the counter could help you out. There is also the Deli on Richmond st. It is worth calling all the Polish shops and asking them- if you go to the church Sw. Jacka, you could put up a note in the basement asking for magazines.

Or if you have an ipad- maybe you can download the electronic version?

You can order your subscription directly from Poland. Magazines are quite cheap.
