Like Franek said. Miami is bad. But most of the rest of Florida is safe.. I can go out any time after dark without getting mugged.

Is there crime in Florida?? Yes, but no where near as it is in the large cities up north.

Crazies? Yes a few.. But you tell me that there is anyplace in America free from crazies. Europe has its share too.

Speaking of Polish people in Fl. I was wondering if anyone in the Titusville/Cocoa/Viera area might be able to help me out. My company Lockheed Martin is doing a Diversity Day here at the space center on 16 Oct 08 and, of course, we chose Poland as our group to represent. We have the "eats" handled with two of our group being of polish decent, but we need some serious help with our decorations. If there is anyone around who might be able to loan out some Polish decorations I would be most appreciative. Thus far we have some small table flags and some streamers, and we plan on printing and framing some Bio's of famous Pols throughout history. If you can give me a hand or have contact information for someone who might, please contact me at jarrettreid@hotmail.com or phone (321) 476-7361 (my work #) Thanks for anything you might be able to help with.

I recently found out that I am polish and my uncle told me something about slavic to.. im not sure, but ever since then, I have been doing alot of research about poland and the history and culture..etc etc.. I live in Florida, I am on the west coast...in sarasota.. is there anyone around here?

LOT'S OF POLISH LIVING IN FLA, TAMPA JUST HAVE TO LOOK. POLISH CLUBS IN THE ST PETE AREA AND POLIS DELI'S A FEW MORE THAN TAMPA BUT TASTE OF EUROPE IS SUPPOSED TO BE GOO, AM GOING TO TRY IT MYSELF, IF NOT OVER TO ST PETE I WILL GO, THERE IS ALSO A GREAT POLISH REASTURANT IN ST PETE CALLED THE PYRAMID GREAT FOOD!!!

go to the restaurant 'Sahara' in Clearwater... a few beautiful and nice Polish girls work there so you could have kotlet z kapuch± dinner plus meet somebody from the area...

I've been to the pyramid restaurant in Clearwater. The food is very good, with a good selection of Polish beer. I enjoyed this place a lot. Can anyone in the West coast Florida recommend some other Polish restaurants & deli's? Thanks.

I'm originally from Poland, live in Massachusetts and thinking to move to Sarasota, went last April and I really like this place. I'm looking for a condo in the Sarasota/Bradenton area. Waiting for some advice too, and of course I'd like to meet Polish people.
I go every summer to Poland, for my summer vacation. I can tell you everything about Poland.

Sarasota is beautiful, but expensive. Go a little farther south, and look into North Port, Port Charlotte,and Punta Gorda... It is much cheaper, and still pretty

Are there any Polish people in the Daytona Beach area? We moved here from Cleveland in March and have found a Polish Restaurant near Orlando in Longwood, FL "Polonia", but that has been the extent.

American of Polish Decent, and I'm considering moving back. I'm researching the socioeconomic, business, and political factors. As well as learning the language from scratch, as my Polish grandfather passed in '87, and my grandmother only speaks German.

There's a Polish American Club on 3861 Stirling Rd in east Davie/Hollywood Hills.

You may catch me out there in 6 months or so when I become more fluent.

Hi there. I live near the airport. I found a pretty good Polish deli on Colonial and Alafaya. He gets most of his products from Chicago. I was wondering if you knew of any places tp meet Polish women in our area? I am recently divorced and want to settle down with a nice Polish woman. Any out there???

My friend lives close to Sarasota, FL. in some gated community. She does not really like it there. I plan on visiting her this spring...
She thinks FL is overrated. Is it? Sure, I would take 58F now, but is the summer really miserable?

maybe it is overated.. but i just to live in west palm and i liked there much..now i come here only for winter and come back to NJ for summer..summer here is really tough

I think that's the reason a lot of people go there for the winter but run away from there in the summer :). I hope to do the same some day.

Im working with horses so its easier to train here in the winter time and better to stay cool in north during summer.

What a fun job - training horses. Not really a huge market for it I suppose (especially now), but it is great to do what you love and manage it in both climates at your convenience.

Eurola, Sarasota is a beautiful city.. Somewhat expensive too. The west coast is the place to be.. Low crime rate, but still a few drug problems. But nothing like Chicago or other northern cities. Life here is much more laid back than Chicago. But lo0ads of people from Chicago..We pollacks do not have Polish communities like up north. But there are many of us here. But spread out

Summers in Florida are hot,but I have seen much hotter weather up north. My wife had trouble getting used to Florida, but now I cant even get her to visit the north anymore.. I suppose that it grows on you.
