Are there any Polish people in Florida?

It is great to see some of the younger Poles that are trying to keep the Polish culture alive in Florida. There are many Poles in Florida, but they do not congregate in one neighborhood anymore. It only takes a couple of people to get it going again. It's up to you younger generation to keep it going.
Years ago i attended a polka festival on the East coast near Orlando.. They had two good bands and lasted eight hours.. I met people from all over the states there. We all had a great time. Good Luck

Agreed, the younger generation definitely needs to do a better effort to coordinate something. Other than the St. Joseph's Church in Orlando there isn't a whole lot going on... Depends where you live..Jacksonville....you can join the Polish American club.....you will find Polish people :) I am seeing a Polish Man.....good man....serious....handsome strong face.....very tall.....very Polish....hahahahha....I am not.....I am slovenian....yes I know......no comment!!

I just found this post looking for the time the Pasterka is in St. Pete..... sadly I can't find it, but glad i came across this thread.

& I agree it is up to the younger generation to keep the traditions alive & well.
thankfully i can speak, read & write... all thanks to polish school on saturdays! :)

There are many polish people in central florida. There is a polish catholic parish in orlando. I am all polish. Just went to Poland in September for 2 weeks. Had a great time.

I am learning to speak polish. Also there are some Polish Stores in Orlando. Polonia is a polish restuarant in Long wood owned and operated by 2 guys from poland. All the food is home made, in expensive and OUT OF SITE. I love all their food

Yes, my father is in Florida, Miami Beach. It is far away from my Australia:(
I lost contact with him .Last time I saw him ,I was 17 yold.Now I am 60 and he (Jerzy Skarzynski, Jurek) is now about 87.I hope he is alive:).His brother Zbigniew is alive,I would love to go to Florida and meet him:) Rather impossible.But I know that there is many Pollans.
He even find in Florida and married from Poland Janina Poltorak.I wish I can go to Florida to see my Father:)))

Many people from Poland in Florida:) There is my father Jerzy Skarzynski. Last time I saw him I was 17 , now I am 60 yold., and he is about 86.I hope somebody knows him . Biggest polish community i know of is in the tampa bay area, specifically clearwater/st. Pete/ port richey. In clearwater weve got a large Polski Centrum- Jan Paweł II. It has zabawy, wesele, urodziny...u name it, we also have polish school on saturdays. A few polish delis, polish churches in st pete and port richey. There are also small communities on east coast near ft. Lauuderdale and orlando has a small community near kissimmee. Lived in tampabay for 20 yrs now, meet more and more polaks every year....find me on facebook--justyn cyrwus
