Canadians think they are something better than Americans but they are just the same. I see no differece between Canadian and American mentality.

I don't know enough of them to have a strong opinion, but I usually detect a slight tendency to bash the yanks, not surprising - everybody does nowadays. So what. lol.
They are just the same like other people, work hard and cherish what they've got - including their socialistic health system. There are two Canadian doctors who joined my physicians office. Hmmm..I wonder why they moved from Canada to the US to practice.
Hey, ShawnH is nice!

I think ShawnH is a cool Canadian. Plus he has good taste in women; he's married to a Polish lady.

A sincere thanks PF, for putting up with me FIVE terrific years, muah!

I like Canadians. They're like... hippies, but often younger and better adjusted.
If I didn't really like hot weather and warm surf, I'd move there.

They gave Celine Dion, Brian Adams and Avril Lavigne to the world, so I think they are evil!

I've found the Canadians I've met to be either arrogant, anal or weird. They all had complexes and were not people I liked to associate with. However, I just got unlucky.

There was one guy I worked with that was really on the level. He did his job really well and was fair to all around him. Another woman was really cool too. However, I found Kiwis and Canucks to be anal for the most part. Very uptight and lacking in punch. I'm sure this isn't so accurate generally.

Ironside:
generally Polish people know that Canada is next to USA, have a lot of pine-woods, have a good standard of living and maybe something about Canadian Police on horses ......
There some people who know a lot more and many that know less .........
what they can think about Canadians given such data ? nothing !

Well, Ironside is pretty much right about this ;)

The first thing that comes to my mind is the TV series I've watched on Polish TV:
http://www.tour-de-france.cz/duesouth/images/foto/merchandise/official guide.jpg
:)

I've heard Canadians are rather mild, calm and friendly :)
And I know that both English and French is used there.
And many American TV series are shot in Canada, as I've heard ;)
And there are a lot of woods in Canada ;)))

I guess, if a Pole thinks anything about Canadians, it's usually something positive :)

Well, I've never seen anything negative about Canadians on Polish TV, as far as I can remember ;)

No, the worts thing that came from Canada was Sum 41 and Anne of Green Gable!

Seriously though, when someone says Canada I think: Due South, DOA, James Cameron ( Terminator 1 and 2 are my fav sf movies! Avatar was shiet though!), maple syrup and hockey!

I'm half Greek and half Polish so there is a lot of Greek Diaspora there. I've had the pleasure of visiting family members in Ontario and Quebec and I must say it's quite something especially the wilderness. While I didn't see many Poles there at all there were tons of French. French are to Quebec as Poles are to Chicago lol. I think the reason why people know so little about Canada is because they're so under-represented. I barely hear about them in the US and I doubt barely anyone hears about them in Poland where little to nothing is known about some EU countries.
