I am a proud Pole living over in the New Jersey area and I shot a gun for the first time in my life. I put up a pretty funny video and I wanted to share it with fellow Poles. Thanks!

I was up in the Pennsylvania Poconos shooting by buddies AK-47 and Dragunov sniper rifle this spring. It was a first time experience for me too, loved it.

Yeah,um,er, the AR 15 is NOT the civilian version of the M4,its the civilian version of the M16 A2............he's just stuck a load of pointless plastic crap on his to look like an "army mans gun"...........and,what "expert" shoves a sidearm down their pants while on a range shooting a carbine?
Oh,my frakking gawd.he doesnt know who hit the can, him, the Pole or GOD......FFS...............Yanks eh? ;) Yeah,God has nothing better to do than feck around with some geezers target shooting :)
But apart from that, a fun day out and a couple of great mates enjoying each others company, whats not to like ? :)

Throw on a short barrel and it's a semi auto M4. Throw on a long barrel and it's a semi auto M16. The uppers/lowers of the M16/M4/AR15 are all interchangeable. He doesn't have much as far as accessories are concerned. Just that forward grip and a holographic sight.

Mine is set up as an evil coyote/hog killing machine at the moment :)

I got a chance to go to a firing range this summer. I tested a Glock 9 mm and a few other hand guns, then an AR 15.
I found that I am a pretty good shot, which I didn't think would happen. I also found that I like the AR 15 better than hand guns.

Maybe someone can tell me this.....how does the weight of the AR 15 compare with similar weapons of its class? Is it heavier or lighter than other semi automatics?

it's pretty light, but depends on what kind of barrel and accessories are on it. in m4 configuration, it's lighter than an sks/ak, m14, aug, g36...

And please don't call a rifle a gun. That's the Marine in me coming out. :)

I am a proud Pole

If you knew something about the courage of Poles during WWII then you would never make such a joking reference about them. It's not funny. Watching you shoot was painful. I would start you off with a water pistol.

I tested a Glock 9 mm and a few other hand guns,

I'm guessing that those guns were testing you since you aren't proficient or knowledgeable about them. I am delighted however, to see women take an interest in guns. I taught my daughter how to shoot (she prefers revolvers) and I wish more women would take an interest in this sport.

I practice shooting cigarettes out of liberal's mouths. :)

I am a man but I completely lack any interest in guns and shooting. Am I a weirdo?

Possibly, have you ever taken the opportunity to go shooting? It's a relaxing way to spend time outdoors.

Nope. When in a firing range, e.g., during holidays, I always let my sons shoot but myself, I abstain from it.
I prefer to be careful with guns.
I just know I can turn really aggressive when someone pisses me off, so I know that my being at a possession of a gun in such moments would cause major manslaughter. I prefer to rely on my physical assets, much safer.
I didn`t get drafted to the army when it was my time in 1990s because of negative psychological tests which I didn`t pass.

Interesting that society says it's ok for you to bring a life into the world and raise him contrary to the army's psych tests. Maybe you're just thoughtful and conscientious? Anyhow if firearms make you uneasy then it would seem keeping clear of them has kept you out of danger this long...

Unfortunately, the society doesn`t organize tests for parents. Army tests have nothing to do with parenthood.

oh, I think it's a fortunate thing. C'mon, who'd be in charge of such a thing and how long would it take for the whole thing to be corrupted.
Now, firearms, it should mandatory that eveyone has access to those...
