An agreement between Canada and Poland came into effect on October 1, 2009. The Agreement may help you qualify for Canadian and Polish old age, disability or survivor benefits.

If you do not qualify for a Canada Pension Plan benefit, Canada will consider creditable periods under the pension program of Poland as periods of contribution to the Canada Pension Plan.

This may be useful information for those with Parents in Canada who are in their golden years, or for those who have worked in Poland for many years before immigrating to Canada.

Check out the Canadian government's website.
