FUZZYWICKETS: East Saint Louis (one city in the USA which happens to have the highest murder rate in the country) has a murder rate 100 times higher than the national avg of Poland. you are comparing 2 different things which is silly. an accurate comparison would be to choose the city in Poland with the highest murder rate with East Saint Louis. most dangerous vs most dangerous. would it mean anything to you if i brought up a city in America that has a lower murder rate than Poland's avg murder rate? also, as someone was stating earlier, the high murder rates occur in large city slums. America has a huge number of cities with populations greater than Poland's largest, most populated city, not to mention an insane amount of immigrants, legal and illegal living there in the USA. these are things that make the two countries very very different and must be considered when just looking at raw numbers. I can't find any murder rate stats on Polish cities.
However, Moscow has a murder rate of 9.8 out of 100,000 by the most recent stat.
Moscow has a reputation for being the murder capitol of Europe.
Chicago has a 16.1 out of 100,000 murder rate.
Chicago's murder rate is nearly double of Moscow & East Saint Louis more than 10 times higher than Moscow.
